      should I second barrel here? or just check and check fold on river?

      I would fold this. I'd be going into the hand with the aim of stealing, either with the initial raise pre-flop, or the conti-bet. Neither of them worked, so chances are he has something that beats my pair of 8s. The steal failed, I wouldn't risk going broke when there's a good chance my hand is beaten.

      I would cbet only 1/2 PSB so 0.35-0.4 here because the board is dry. After he calls, I would c/f unless the hands improves any further.

      No need to c-bet that big on the flop. Turn I'd check behind and if he is defending his blinds alot you could think of calling his river donkbet, otherwise what Tampa said.
