ICM Beginner's Question

      Hi,

I've been practicing with ICM, and it's going pretty well. I had a problem with the following hand:

      MP2: $3,760
      MP3: $5,010
      CO :$3,790
      BU: $3,480
SS (hero): $670 holding Th 6h
      BB: $3,140

I thought that I'd push; it was wrong.

I checked this after the fact and my push range included T5s+ which the above includes, my ev was 63.5%. So was I completely wrong, or is this marginal?

I've placed this in the beginner's section because I'm still learning how to use the ICM trainer, along with learning when to push or fold (though I'm doing this without any maths or charts, as the whole push range thing is above my head at the moment, so I'm just trying to get a feel for it).

      Anyway, any ideas??

      Thanks

      Hi Helipacter,

Very important is the payout structure and the blind levels. Otherwise you aren't able to analyze this hand.

So please add this info in the thread, so we can help you.

      Greetings,
      Hannes

      hellpacter,

Do you know what the payout structure is?

Like a normal 9 man or a 6 max game, maybe a double or nothing?

      Hi Lennonac,

It's 10 Handed, but other than that I don't get any more information regarding payout structure. (I'm using ICM Trainer from PS).

I'm sorry I can't give any more info, but everything is set to "random", apart from the poker platform, so I'm not sure what else I can add.

If I've missed some vital info from ICM Trainer let me know... like I said, still learning!

      Cheers!

      Thanks.

As he wrote you cant fold this hand first in.

To analyze this game you need to type in all stack sizes on the left of the software:

      Best regards,

2nd time i have ever posted on forum so go easy on me :) .

icm trainer light downloaded from ps.com when i use it to test myself i cant see the cards or chip stacks on the left or bottom of table because whoever made the programme has made people in that position out of the frame of view if u get me..

i have maximised and minimised the thing but nothing they are still out of view. is this a bug cos there is no options to change anything but language.

I am not talking about the icm trainer already posted on here that works fine but the icm trainer light does not?
