Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.1/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)

      Known players:
      SB:
      $2.12
      BB (Hero):
      $5.40
      UTG2:
      $8.91
      MP1:
      $36.63
      MP2:
      $5.00
      MP3:
      $3.25
      CO:
      $5.00
      BU:
      $10.98

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7, 8.
UTG2 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $0.25, CO folds, BU calls $0.25, SB folds, Hero checks.

      Flop: ($1.1) 2, 2, 7 (4 players)
Hero checks, MP1 checks, MP3 checks, BU checks.

      Turn: ($1.1) 5 (4 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $1.00, MP3 folds, BU folds, Hero folds, MP1 gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $1.1.

I just played check/fold, but wasn't betting a better choice? Playing bet/fold I mean. What could they have, apart from 2x, 77-AA, 97-A7? they are all unlikely.

      Hi,

c/f is fine. you dont have much of a hand multiway.
You could try to take a stab at the pot, but if anyone is calling/raising your mostly toast. :)

      Hey vmarqui,

Nice hand. It's best to just avoid such marginal and dangerous spots. Standard in freeplays is to play when you hit TP with J kicker or better, specially when you're up against multiple opponents.

      Regards,
