I am so happy with this win. I started a couple of weeks ago, playing sit and go's on interpoker, where I made little profit. I had an ROI of 12. Then, for some reason, I tried a multitabletournament for a change, and what an eyeopener that was. I got to the final table a couple of times and doubled up to 350$ (My s&g play made the 50$ starting money into 175$. But what happened tonight is even better. I played 5 more tournaments, first 3, where I made it to the finalk table once, and then 2; one 2$ tournament with +/- 80 participants, which I won (45$), and one 10+1$ tournament, which i won, which made me about 390$. So my balance is now, after a couple of weeks, 375 pounds!!! = 750$.

sick dude, i won 320 $ again!!! This is insane, i'm like the final table master, have such a short stack every time i enter it, and somehow, most of the time i know i will win, and win! i also referred a friend, gonna steam him up to play good, needs some work, but he may make it. Too bad the interpoker deal is off, wouldve loved to play against him some times. Interpoker is getting nice, he didnt belive i could cash out, and it only took me two clicks. Too bad ill get a 20pound cheque on my doorstep though.

above post was made by me.

I've got one further question. I see a lot of threads on this page about getting from 50 to 1000$ in a couple of months, or a year. I did it before getting my first rakeback. Does this mean anything? I did it by playing a lot of tournaments. But I'm not sure what a proper tournament (mtt) Bankroll management is like, and whether I could be enjoying a good upswing or whether i'm god?

      Hi helemaalnicks!

You should have a 100 buy-in bankrollmanagement when you are playing multi table tournaments, which means if you want to play a $2 MTT I recommend you to have at least $200 bankroll.
Concerning your $50 to $1000 progress: Congratulations! You cannot be a bad player if you are winning so many tournaments, but you are definitely having an upswing. Maybe it helps if you are posting some sample hands to find possible mistakes.

      Good luck at the tables!

i'm getting used to winning now, 2nd place, 188$. I ordered my first book, in order to steam me up for the next level. I also qualified for a 13k$ tournament. Played it for 70 minutes, best hand was AJs, on which i went out against AQ. Is that bad luck? Or is this level a lot harder?

      Hi helemaalnicks!

Congratulations for your winnings. Whether your AJs hand was bad luck or not is difficult to evaluate because I need more information. Maybe it helps if you post that hand in our sample hands board.

      Good luck at the tables!

i was not referring to the actual hand itself as bad luck, but the fact that that was the best hand I got in the entire tournament. I got it in CO and went all-in on it 9bb, so im quite sure i played it right.

Yes, that's the correct play. But to have AJs as the best hand in the whole tournament is obviously bad luck.

      Good luck at the tables!

well, much better now, 3 tournaments, AQ BEST HAND!!!!
      it's ridiculous

had 10 10, squeezed on CO, get called by button, QQ

had JJ, same story against ace ace.

Ended up in the money though. Saw a free flop 83, flop: 388.

I don't get it. They call it Lucky 13k, it's more like unlucky 13k. At least I made it to money though. I wonder what will happen when I get some cards too.

of course, I'm just extremlely good at qualifiers. played 5 won 3. I play one Qualy per day for 7$, my bankroll is 960$, so it's ok, i'm suffering from a downswing last few days, lost 50$ in 4 days.

can imagine swings for MTT can be really extreme, so $50 can't be too bad :D keep up the good work

i'm experiencing moderate success at my single table SnG. will make a diary of it sometime after my exams :) )

I played some very good tourneys these days. My bankroll is finally going the right way again. After a stagnant period, I now reached 1300$!!! Sick dude, Ive been playing for 5 or 6 weeks now, 26*your 50$. If i do that again Ill have 1300*26 = 33.800 in 5 weeks, and I can take the rest of the year off, lol.
