      1)
Titan No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50/$1.00BB (Titan HH Converter by Kreatief)

      Button ($64.30)
      SB ($105.40) (Hero)
      BB ($62.10)
      MP1 ($54.90)
      MP2 ($100.00)
      MP3 ($37.55)
      CO ($111.30)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K:heart: , A:club:
4 folds, Hero raises to $4.50, BB raises to $16.00, Hero raises All-In $104.9,

I figured against his resteal range, the best result for me would be a push right now. Agree?
His stats were unknown at the time, but he was fairly new to the table.

      MP3 ($100.00) (Hero)
      CO ($162.99)

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 8:club: , 8:heart:
4 folds, Hero raises to $4.00, CO calls $4.00, 1 folds, SB calls $3.50, 1 folds

      Flop: 7:diamond: , 7:heart: , 3:club: ( $13 )
SB checks, Hero bets $10.00, CO raises to $20.00, 1 folds, Hero calls $10.00,

      Turn: 3:spade: ( $53 )
Hero checks, CO bets $25.00, Hero raises All-In $76, 1 folds

      Final Pot: $151.00

It seemed likely that he had me on overcards, and was trying to push me out with the minraise. I decided to see the turn, and this card seemed ideal to check raise all in.

hand 1: If he did that earlier than its good move imo, I dont like playing AK OOP so a push is fine.

hand 2: I don't see why this 3 is scary. He raised flop, he bets on the turn, so it looks like he is ahead, u got about 1:1 pot odds so he has to fold this 50% of the times in order to make it +EV.

It's not that the 3 is scary, it's more that I don't believe his minraise on the flop. I don't think he has a set, and I don't believe the 3 on the turn helped him at all either. It looks to me like he is trying to steal the pot, putting me on overcards, and maybe he has a PP.

His turn bet is only half potsize. Because I just called his minraise on the flop, I got to read this as weakness, and I trusted that read. By check/all in, I wanted to suggest that my preflop raise was a pp QQ+ rather than overcards, and challenge what looked to me to be a bluff. As a result he may have folded a better pair, 99 to JJ, though probably not. I think he was just chancing some random hand.

Probably raising preflop with the eights was a mistake, though that could be marginal.

I'm not saying that it's bad move just risky. I usually bet 1/2 pot if I have fairly good hand that I don't need to protect (many times it indicates weakness thou). As to 88 MP3 first in, I would definitely raise it as well. If u steel the button with it u'r getting good position for cbet.

      Hi aciddrop!

Hand 1) Nice hand. With AK you normally want to see 5 cards and not 3 and against the restealing range from BB AK should be the favourite.

Hand 2) On the turn I would play bet/fold to find out how strong his hand really is. If he raises you again you have an easy fold. But a check/raise all-in is too risky because if you get called you are most likely behind. And I doubt that you get enough fold equity here.

      Good luck at the tables!

      1) In the end, he showed AQs, so it was the correct move.

      2) Any reasonable turn bet here is going to take at least half my remaining stack, so I don't see that I could then fold to a raise, with 2/3 of my money in the pot, and a reasonable chance, according to my read, that I am actually in front. Is that a consideration here?

If you check/raise you are putting in all your chips and get most likely called by better hands. But if you bet/fold the turn you a) find out if you have the best hand and b) can save some chips if you don't have it.

      Good luck at the tables!
