well your kind of switching to a new era and style
if we switch for a bit to this age here are a few of my electronica faves
^^im a big fan of dj shadow I got to see him mix w/ cut chemist in '08
^^ saw these guys/guy many times at festivals, beach parties etc, his shows are super funky and super wicked vibes! he does multiple sets some heavy "he remixes with rage against the machine etc" some casual depending on the venue.
I gotta say that electronic music is a genre of music that I need to get into more... These are good starting points... I've listened to some Aphex Twin but to be honest, because of the underground / indie nature of the music, you really have to search in order to find the quality stuff. What I mean is that it isn't immediately accessible. It's almost like you have to be into it, in order to know about it... Am I making sense? Anywayz, electronic music can be very innovative if you listen to it correctly, I find. People say it is boring or repetitive. To them I say that you are listening incorrectly.
Yeah musical journeys through life are interesting.
I like all music but I think funk is one of the best because everyone will dance and have fun to it. I Play funk/jazz guitar riffs all the time....
I really would like to get a hold of 2 turntables and a micro phone and make some cool beats some day... Maybe when I'm 60 I'll put out my first electronica funk album "haha". I'm looking to pick back up the Trombone "i use to play it" and I'm learning the Banjo so I have enough on my plate atm.
There are a lot of members from different regions here so everyone post some local, favorite or any funky tunes you enjoy.
