Hello boys and girls, I am creating this blog mostly to improve my game and also to entertain some of your monkeys around here.

      About me:

My name is Nick and I am 20 years old. I live in London and I will be studying an Access to Business course in 2 weeks time. I've been playing poker online for around 2-3 years now, never really sticking to a specific game. I've always been trying new things i've tried 24 tabling nl25 sh, 24 tabling 11$ 180 turbos, played abit of heads up, pretty much every type of game.

So far I am up around 2k [spent cash for new laptop], nothing special, but now I have decided to take it seriously, keep on studying and keep on putting in the hours.

I've recently decided that I would like to stick to playing HU because for me it seems like the only game which I can actually wake up every morning and want to play, instead of forcing myself to grind out the hours 24 tabling nl25.

What you will find in this blog:

As you have gathered from what i've written above, you will have grapsed that this is a HU blog.

My roll is currently at 470 dollars, so I will be playing 10 dollar HU SNGS.

In this blog I will mostly:

-Give updates on my bankroll and give my general thoughts of how things have been going.

      -Post graphs of my results

-I am going to post hands which I am unsure about and also talk about spots which I find tricky.

      [My goals]

To be perfectly honest, I much rather prefer to play HU cash game instead of SNG, the problem is my roll isn't even close to big enough to be playing nl50, so I am sticking to sngs untill my bankroll reaches atleast 2k.

I don't like setting small specific profit goals, I much rather select one main goal and work my way towards that. My main goal in general is to keep on moving up on limits, the same applies for when I play cash games, I wanna move up to nl50, then nl100 ect.

Basic info - BR currently at 463, I usually 1 or 2 table, however I am gonna stick to one table only for the first 50 games atleast, so I feel comfortable and feel like I can get reads on two opponents at once.

PS - I sometimes play at casinos aswell, so many fish it is ridicilous, I wish I was rolled enough to play nl100 there on a reg basis :)

Hey guys, so this was my first day of 10$ HU SNG, didn't go too bad, up 2 buy ins after 27 games. I had a little mess around with Pincell also who spotted a couple of leaks in my game, I was calling a little too much oop and putting myself in difficult spots postflop. Ever since he told me about these leaks I could see a massive diff right away. Of course I already knew that I shouldn't make these mistakes, but I didn't notice that I was doing them untill it was pointed out.

So today went pretty well, I played 38 games and I am up 9 buy in so not bad :)
I am certainly beginning to see my edge in these games so I am glad to see that.
When I get my roll to around 900 I am gonna move up to 22$ HU. Here is my graph.

Current roll at 550 now, I also generated 20 dollars rake today and I am platinum star on PokerStars so I am getting around 30% rake back, but I won't add it to my profit from the games.

I've only been playing one table, I plan to increase to 2 once I feel comfortable.

I am thinking about using 30 bi as my br management instead, I can't really imagine me losing that many. So if I do decide to do this, 100 more dollars untill 22 HU SNG

Today so far has been very hard mentally, I haven't been able to go on top, i've played 17 games today and am currently down 1 bi, however most opponents have been terrible and just kept on sucking out which is why it is frustrating, however this is gonna show true character continuing even though things aren't going perfect, and I am trying to not go into tilt, which I have done a few times today.

I am gonna play atleast 15 more games today, so it will be interesting to see if I can come out on top at the end of the day.

So today has ended with 27 games played and down 1.5 buy in, every time I went +1 buy in I was always goin down the next, hopefully my luck changes next time I play.

No point in posting my graph because holdem manager didn't track the loss for some reason. I also noticed I was tilting quite easily so I really have to controll this if I want to improve my game and make loads of money in heads up.

So I have decided I am gonna stick to 40 brm and just try not to rush things, I beleive this is probably the best way to succeed. I am gonna try 2 tabling now and also playing the 4 mans HU tourneys instead of the singles, so I will make another post tonight containing my results.

So lately I have been having some sleeping problems, so I have decided to stay awake all night and day tomorrow in order to fix my body clock, I also don't feel like playing today, I feel more like spending all of the free time studying and watching videos instead of playing.

I pld 2, 4 man hu tourneys and won them both so 65 dollars from that, pretty good.
