      I'd check/call the river because he 3x'ed it preflop so chances are he's a tag and he has AK quite a bit for c-betting the flop and checking back the turn, so if he wants to try again and bluff at the J overcard for our perceived range he'll be most welcomed. I just don't think he shows up with something worse that can pay off a valuebet often after in these positions.

      If it just so happens that he's an aggro fish that 3bet to 3x for no particular reason, betting the river is more viable provided you can estimate what he would do with a J on the river, so that you know whether it's a bet/fold or a bet/call. If you don't, check/call.
