Hand 2. Now this might be a standard fold for most opponents. But this opponent was the same as in Hand 1 and he showed me 8d9d on that hand so he's a maniac. I played it on the safe side but I feel bad folding.

Hand 3. Poorly played. That flop is a check-raise flop for my TT instead of a cbet flop. My cbet looks weak and allowed hands like AK/JJ/99 to run over me. As played I should check-raise or bet/3bet. Villain does not have KK/AA IMO and even if he does I can represent AQ there by 3betting.

BTW I wonder why have I seen so many flop raises/ch raise bluff today. It seems like everyone reads some high stakes books and applies them on NL10 at Stars. What's going on?

      Hi,

Well you played with a maniac and people catch hands sometimes :p

      #1

      Fine obviously.

      #2

You having QQ removes quite a lot of potential gutshot hands for villain on that board. Still he's likely capable of doing that with just about anything like 33 or Ahigh with a backdoor. Hard to say without having played with the guy, I could certainly see myself both folding and calling it off.

      #3

Well he could have defended some broadways with a Q certainly, nobody is folding there AQ and KQ is often a call with the light 3betting going on. It's certainly possible for him to flat KK+ preflop as well depending how he approaches these spots.

Us being able to represent AQ with a 3bet is kind of irrelevant, we're not going to make him fold anything that beats us after he raised there. Either we believe he's screwing around with air/worse pocket pairs enough on that paired board in which case we're ahead, or we don't and we're likely behind. I'd expect most players to just call with worse pocket pairs when the board comes like that so without further aggression reads I'd just fold.

      Hope it helps.
