i am not sure , CO is already all in and there is no point in him pushing you out of the pot unless he has at least the ace.

Hmm, quite right. Unless perhaps he thinks he's definately got CO beat and wants to bluff us out of the pot? (Or if he's fresh out of the asylum).

We have only middle pair and BU has no reason to bluff. It's an easy fold imo although the pot is really big because we don't win often enough to make a call profitable.

I must say I agree my move was rather questionable, but in the end it turned out that he (BU) had Q8o.

      Hi erob60!

Preflop and flop play are standard. On the turn appears an ace and BU moves all-in. The question now is: how often do we have to win this pot? We have to call ~$50 to win a pot of ~$200 which means we are getting 1:4 pot odds. We have to win 1 out of 5 times (20%). Here is the Equilator result:

Operation canceled... 5,847,388 games processed in 01:00 minutes.

      Board: As Jh Ts 7h

      Equity Win Tie Loss Hand
      Player 1: 37.503 % 36.530 % 1.945 % 61.525 % TT-JJ, 77, any two suited in
      Player 2: 41.945 % 40.680 % 2.528 % 56.791 % AA, TT, 77, A2+, KJ+, QJ, J7+, T7+
      Player 3: 20.553 % 20.261 % 0.583 % 79.156 % QsQh

With 20.5% equity against both players (against BU alone: ~33%) we have to call here although it looks like we are behind. But the odds we are getting are too good.

      Good luck at the tables!
