I've identified something that loses me a lot of money. If there's any action after I've made a continuation bet, I can't fold and sometimes go all in with nothing... Is there any mantra or something I can keep in mind when I get into that situation.

"dont go all in with nothing" should suffice?

Maybe "Don't call an all in with nothing" is better?

I used to have the same thing when i first started out, you need to just let go of AK/AQ if you miss, don't get married to hands.

Unless you are in some very remote place for a very long time like a military assignment.

Then you will have to marry your hands.

Is someone a "Colbert Report" fan? If not, this is spooky as he married his hand yesterday so as not to commit adultery... it's a great show. :f_love:

@OP: All poker is an exercise in discipline: BRM, hand selection, game selection, seat selection, bet sizing, deciding on a line. Do you exercise any discipline in respect to other aspects of your game?

The only suggestion I have is examining how much you lose with play you've identified as a leak. If that doesn't provide any motivation to stop I'm not sure what will.

      American satire.

It has its moments but no I did not see him marry his hand.

He was running for president last time I saw the show.

Wow that was a while back. I didn't know they had TV in NZ.

They do! It's awesome. We've got three whole channels. It's 95% re-runs of Rock of Love Bus though. :f_frown:
