21y old from Romania, playing real money poker for about 1 year. I've deposited 10$ first time and played some SNG's and MTTs. Ofc, little or no ROI. Tilted them away pretty fast.

I've blown the first bankroll, as many do. I've blown the second, third, fourth on various other sites getting some pretty decent cashes in rebuys or freezeout tournaments. Got my BR up to 160$ once and played NL10 FR/SH and NL5/NL10 Rush. That money is now on someone's graph, a pretty green line going up.

I've been through the "wow, aces, I should go all in preflop first in" stage and the "maybe this is rigged because I'm such a good player and these sites are like Robin Hood taking money from the good players and giving it to the bad players" and all sorts of silly judgements.

In the meantime, I've re-read some of the articles, read Barry Greestein's book, part of Dan Harrington's on Hold'EM, tried some variations of poker like FL, Stud, Razz. Play Money is actually a good start.

Mid-August I've deposited 31$ and change that was in my moneybookers account and transfered 26$ to my ex-roommate ( long story, they were his :) ). 5$ bankroll went to pieces before the 25th, when I took a little vacation to the seaside.

Coming back home, my rakeback was in. 99 cents. Not much money so I decided that I shouldn't go to the .01/.02 tables with less than half of buy-in. So I started playing the .25+.05 qualifiers for the Daily Dollar on FTP. I got up to 5$, a bit down, some NL 2 FR got me to 8$, then 7. Some downswing combined with poor play and coolers got me to 2$ this morning.

      Inspired by Chris Ferguson's 0 to 10K, I considered I had a head start ( 2 full dollars ) to the 10K mark.

Best place to start was the Cap tables. 60c max per hand, steady but constant profit since I had some edge on the players after watching some poor play there.

Bottom line, cleared 10% of my deposit bonus (3.1$ ) and now I'm at 14.38$. Might be a heather, since I had some pretty good hands that got paid off.

      Now some goals:

[ ] Elaborate my own BRM plan
[ ] Clear the 100% deposit bonus by 10th of December.
      [ ] Get to 25 buy-ins on NL2
[ ] Get deep into Dailly Dollar
[ ] Reach final table at the Dailly Dollar

Next post will be have some nice hands from today.

This blog was almost drawing dead. First post, then I'm out. I was running horrible at NL2 the last days, my BR dropped down to 6$.
I've played some 0.25$+0.05$ qualifiers for the Daily Dollar and cashed in the buy-in, but it was constant break-even.

I was eager for a larger pool of players, and saw a 1.25$+0.15$ Knockout qualifier for miniFTOPS #32. 6 handed isn't really my thing, but I gave it a try. Shipped it :D First place, robbed the final table dry with 76K out of 81k on the last hand. The last hand was actually funny, posting it here:

      I]Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:[/I]

      Play hand

      $2000/$4000 No-Limit Hold'em (3 handed)

      Known players:

      BB (Hero):
      $71890.00
      BU:
      $2280.00

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7, 5.
      BU calls $2,280.00(All-In), SB folds.

      Flop: ($8280) 2, J, 9 (2 players)

      Turn: ($8280) 8 (2 players)

      River: ($8280) T (2 players)

      Final Pot: $8280.

      BU had A:spade: A:heart: .

      Another lucky hand:

MP2 raises to $815.00(All-In), 2 folds, Hero raises to $1,415.00(All-In), SB folds, BB calls $1,355.00.

      Flop: ($3675) 9, 9, 8 (3 players)

      Turn: ($3675) 9 (3 players)

      River: ($3675) 6 (3 players)

      Final Pot: $3675.

Villain had 8's. By the turn I figured I`m dead to a king, but the lucky 9 just got there.

PS's result converter doesn't work for some odd reason.

Now my bankroll on FTP is ~32$, I'm not converting from T$ yet because I'm planning some deep runs at the Daily Dollar.

Entered a .50$ rebuy and I'm already cursing at donks shoving K8s after a raise. I'm hoping next time this guy shoves I have aces.

I've been watching the promos lately and I decided to deposit on William Hill Poker. 30$, tonight. Mostly due to the 5k freeroll, but the 200% bonus was ok too. Let's see if I can clear it now ;) .

The graph for my first hands looks like this:

Insane, I know. Not sustainable, I know.
      So: WH Poker: 40$ BR.

      Funny hand:

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.01/$0.02 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)

      Known players:
      UTG2:
      $0.98
      MP1:
      $5.22
      MP2:
      $1.00
      MP3:
      $5.00
      CO:
      $1.49
      BU:
      $2.92
      SB:
      $1.04
      BB (Hero):
      $4.76

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, Q.
5 folds, BU raises to $0.08, SB raises to $0.26, Hero calls $0.24, BU raises to $2.92, SB calls $0.78, Hero calls $2.66.

Almost folded queens here, first time because I was tired and didn't see the cards right, then I was gonna fold if SB hadn't called. I figured that BTN wouldn't push AA or KK in position vs 1 re-raise+ 1 cold call. That leaves some Ax hand. AK or AA. If SB called, he had an Ace blocker, so there were bigger chances that my hand will hold up.

      Flop: ($6.88) 6, 4, J (3 players)

      Turn: ($6.88) 8 (3 players)

Ow snap, please don't suck out!

      River: ($6.88) 3 (3 players)

      They didn't! :D

      BTN shows: K:heart: A:heart:
      SB shows: K:diamond: A:club:

      Final Pot: $6.88.

Prolly tommorow I'll be silver again. :s_love:

      And another one:

SB checks, UTG bets $0.14, Hero calls $0.14, SB folds

      Turn: ($0.48) K  (2 players)
UTG bets $0.30, Hero raises to $0.80, UTG calls $0.50

      River: ($2.08) 7 :diamond: (2 players)

The shove from BTN was weird. I had no hands on him, but kinda smelled like Aces or set. The odds seemed good to call, but the showdown made it clear: Good fold.

      Rollercoaster alert!

Lost all my winnings the next day, got exploited pretty bad by the regs, missed most of the flops, got outdrawn a couple of times.

It seems I found a decent hour to play, getting a whale on my table, playing roullete with 20BB raise first-in and re-raising my 3-bets. Juicy. He got me 3 buy-ins solo.

And the prettiest hand in poker just got here today, to top off my winnings.

I was actually pretty sad it turned into a Royal Flush being heads up, since I thought I wasn't going to get paid. I was actually hoping he had aces in the hole, queens or whatever. And he shoved. Awesome! :s_o:

Released 5$ out of the bonus, so sitting on a pretty 52$ on William Hill now.

      Thanks cbucsan and pokerplayer05

It seems that the only way is up.

Had some coolers where the line goes down and also got sucked out on a hand vs a maniac and another maniac on the Pounds table. A10, TPTK on 3 10 2 rainbow. First maniac shoves ( 81/30 over 43 hands ), the other one shoves ( 67/33 over 15 hands ). I knew the first maniac shoves any gutshot, and also that the second maniac has either a bad kicker, or 2nd pair. Turns out I was right, he had K10, but managed to catch a king on the river. First maniac had Js9s, with no spade on the flop.

After the maniac won, he kept trash talking the table and I kept being "unsure about his bets". I almost stacked him, tried a little ihufa slowroll and still got around 3 pounds from him ( 150BB ). I left him .60 pounds to play, I need him to come back tomorrow.

I like maniacs. They stack you one time if you're unlucky, but you can just reload and stack them back in the next 2 hands.

Had a swingy run today. I've started playing the Euro tables and GBP tables, but I think I'm getting a little over my bankroll. Sitting at 75$ with 10$ released out of the 60$ bonus and another 5$ coming pretty soon.

Running well above EV now. The graph is so swingy because I've been playing shorthanded for at some tables and either they luckboxed, either I was reading the hand very bad.

Also, I installed HEM again. It seems it runs smoother than PT3 on iPoker 5-6 tables, but it's really a hard choice.

Had my first win today at PLO HU .01/.02. 49BB in 59 hands. The guy just quit after. The results would have been better is some donk didn't decide that his straight draw on the flop beats my set. Of course, it did. Gotta learn to fold some hands.

      Funny hand here.

I was calling just because I had some reads there and I tought I would stack him by making my draw. The fold on the river was really funny, I laughed my ass off.

Running extremely hot today. After a 1k hands session breaking even, another 800 hands get me 1000BB up.

      My first ~800 BB pot.
      Sitting on 100$ bankroll now.
We were so deep that variance would have struck me bad if he pushed an ace, but BB went all in with the other guy 68s 15-20 hands earlier.

Had a pretty good last 4 months on NL2 and NL4 on iPoker. Played two skins, this year I'm gonna ditch one of them.
4 to 6 tables, 7 or 8 with juicy games. Bit under EV, bit over EV.

Gone 500 BB deep with fishes, won and lost, lost 20$ ( 4 250BB buy-ins ) to some shove-any-two-to-raise-preflop with 250BB fish sucking out hand after hand. Horrible play there, never again!

Cleared about 100$ in deposit bonuses and withdrawn most of it.

      My results look like that:

      iPoker Skin 1

      iPoker Skin 2

In 2011 I want to move up, but I think I'll start on PokerStars. Have to decide on that pretty soon I think. Good year after all.

      I wish anyone who stumbles upon this blog a +EV 2011 !

      Haven't updated in ages.

Ok, so I seemed to be crushing NL2. Moved up at 125$ to NL5, got crushed there. Small re-deposit of 20$, cleared two 10$ bonuses, 25$ bonus coming up.

Recently had a 2.2K hands session, won 18BI at NL2 6-max while running 3BI under EV.

      Best graph ever.

      NL2 going well:

      NL5 getting crushed

So I tried a few MTT's. It hasn't gone well at all.

On the other hand... STT's going really well.
      340 of these are 1.11$ 50fifty.

BR: 145$. Way overrolled for 1.11's, but not taking shots at 5$ fifty50 until 250$ or so BR.

Just bought 25$ bonus on PokerStars. Won some fifty50's, BR now at 190$.

Had a nice pot. I finally managed to underrepresent my hand and convince the villain he has the best hand.

      Downswing on SNG's.

Upswing + downswing on cash games.

So what to do? PLO :f_cool:

Developed a semi-safe BRM scheme. Sit in with 50BB and double up with good hands, then play my main game. PLO with 20Buyins would be sick.

Deposited 30$ and just grinded it to 140$ in 2 weeks. I think I was playing a drunk Greek tonight, he really had no ideea what he was doing.

      This is fun:
      15.5K hands of PL2, PL6 and PL10

The graph shows me as a luckbox but the EV difference is actually from seing turns all in vs 2 or more players.

But $ wise it looks like this:

Ran really ugly today, my session was like this:

Managed to get into some very deep pots with the fishes at the end so break-evenish after exactly 1k hands today.

      Stats:
      PL2 - 4.5K hands - Winnings: 69$ EV: 57$ 75BB/100 hands
      PL6 - 9.5K hands - Winnings: 77$ EV: 40$ 13BB/100 hands
      PL10 - 1.5K hands Winnings: -16.77$ EV: 29$ -11BB/100 hands

Played full stack in PL2, shortstack 50BB in PL6 and PL10.
      Now I'm playing 75/100BB stack in PL6 and shortstacking 50BB in PL10.

Running like $#%! on PL10, need to work on that.

Such an ugly session, I played like crap from the first hands. Next thing: my EV line decides to break up with me and go upstairs.
300 hands later, strange thing happens. 4 handed all in vs one reg and two fish my aces hold up making the best hand by the river. On another table, three handed all in vs two fish. I win. Figured it's time to quit the session since fishes are busto and don't wanna keep switching money back and forth with the regs.

Out of bussiness next month, my bachelor thesis is due and prom and stuff like that.

Tried to rebuild BR on Stars. Deposited 10$ to play in EN vs PL community battle and figured I'd give PLO a shot.

Ran like god, played pretty good especially super-deep.

      :s_cool: May Summary: :s_cool:

      888Poker:
Deposited late April 30$ , cleared small FDB and made it into 278$ starting with 15 buy-ins on PLO2.

      PokerStars:
Withdrawn most of BR and left about 50$ to play with. Huge downswing, aggresive BRM => 10.xx$ left that I tilted away playing 3.5$ HUSNG.
Deposited 10$, played PLO2 with 5 buyins and made it to 40$ ( 20 buyins ). 2 Buy-ins were lost thinking anyone would fold at PL2.
      Rungood FTW.

Hope I'm gonna make a huge comeback next month, after summer break starts.
