      Can't say for sure, if he's ever capable of playing AQ this way you can't fold it since it makes up for more combos than AA/TT. If you don't think he plays AQ this way you beat nothing really I don't even think that guy would minraise spades there.

      I kinda like your fold when in doubt, nits are nits for a reason.

      You can also not 3-bet preflop and play postflop with him, he's not that hard to manoeuver postflop and you'll keep some worse Ax hands in his range for sure this way.
