      0,02/0,04 No-Limit Hold'em (10 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.9 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4:diamond: , A:heart:
      3 folds, MP1 calls $0,04, 4 folds, SB calls $0,02, Hero checks.

      Flop: ($0,12) 5:heart: , 7:spade: , 4:heart: (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP1 bets $0,04, SB calls $0,04, Hero calls $0,04.

      Turn: ($0,24) 4:spade: (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0,16, MP1 calls $0,16, SB folds.

      River: ($0,56) A:spade: (2 players)
      Hero bets $4,24, MP1 calls $4,24.

      Final Pot: $9,04

how would you play this hand if another spade (except 4 of spades of course) had shown up on the river, i.e. hero only holds trips, full house possible for villain ?

I'd bet more on the turn cus it's a super drawy board.

4 of spades on the river is quite unlikely since it's already there :)

I'd probably c/c another spade cus str8 draws fold anyways, flush raises made str8 calls, only lower 4 calls (quite unlikely)

      Hi Floating!

Fold on the flop. You are not getting the odds to call here. As played: Turnbet is fine and even the river overbet can be a good move depending on your opponent.

Concerning your question: If another spade comes up on the river I would play check/call. This way you win the most against worse hands and lose the minimum against better hands. If you bet and get raised you don't know whether he raised you with a worse hand (another 4) or a better hand. Since you want to avoid this situation just play check/call.

      Good luck at the tables!
