Hand converted with online hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      MP3 (Hero):

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 8, 8.
MP2 folds, Hero raises to $0.20, 3 folds, BB raises to $0.60, Hero calls $0.40.

      Flop: ($1.22) 4, 4, 2 (2 players)
BB bets $0.85, Hero raises to $2.10, BB raises to $9.48, Hero folds, BB gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $3.32.

This same type of hand actually happened a couple of times for me last night and they both ended very similarly. Is there a better way to play it?

      yes there are
either call flop adn evaluate turn if you want to call again or maybe shove thinking he is bluffing too much or raise flop to induce shove from worse hands and then call shove. He can shove there sometimes AK/AQ thinking you're likely bluffing or if he 3-bet pf 77-55 he should also shove these hands
