Went on tilt and lost most of my bankroll on other games.

Like Bingo and blackjack, stuff that is largely to do with luck, I don't know why and now I just feel frustrated and annoyed with myself. I lost about £20, but that only left about £3, lol.

Any tips on how to recover and how to avoid doing something so stupid again? If I don't learn my lesson from this I have no hope, lol.

On a positive note my poker game is better than ever, and I'm sure I'll make it back easily, just so long as I keep cool.

read and re-read tilt articles, go for a walk or do something that makes your head free from tilt ;) For me helps restarting - going to club or some party and get so wasted that you just cant remember everything :D

with £3 you wont do much.. Id play the game I know the best and hope that works. Or you can play freerolls (need some adaptation and you can make new bankrolls nonstop)

Well, I built it up from £2 in the first place. I got it up to £6 last night, and got enough points for £5 bonus, so it should be alright. I don't have the patience for freerolls...

I'm sure it won't be something that happens again, I'm just glad I lost so much rather than winning any and becoming deluded I'd get more money playing anything other than poker.

yea.. you can do that, but at least for me its more like a challenge to make something from air. And in poker you can never be too good - there is always spots were you can improve your game, so.. in Freerolls thats possible to do that just because you are up to any random hand, so you need to run good and play good to get something there. Just depositing looks too easy for me :P

hm you just need to set yourself a real limit... i know it can be hard when you're all wrapped up in the moment of tilting... but poker does have a lot to do with patience so, if you lose, just quit for a while and get back to the grinding when your mood has shifted and you are in a more positive frame of mind. Had a few bad runs as well for a few days... then i didnt play one day at all.. and the next not much either... then the following day, played 2 sngs, won both and doubled up at a ring table ;) - breaks for a few days or even just one day can work wonders =)

I just more than quadrupled up £9 by playing well outside the limit I'm bankrolled for... So I'm going to open a moneybookers account, move the money in to there and leave until life has settled down, and only play freerolls until then.

In the meantime I'm going to study hard and get the poker mindset.

You can study as much as you want but that will not really prepare you properly for tilt. There are different ways in which you react but I believe that most people start to play more starting cards and bet more. Also, keep your cool in the sense that after you suffer a bad beat or you lose something the other people at the table will try to put pressure on you and make you make more mistakes. It does help you a lot (in the event that you must keep playing and can not leave - which is the best way to handle this situation) to simply tighten down a lot and then simply fold a few times even hands like AJo or any that are included in your wide range of opening.

Once you feel confident again and you feel that you are not steaming anymore you can start playing your best game again.

I need to also say that your current bankroll is really small and you can not do much with it. You will need more and play at the lowest stakes. Learn the game.

Seriously though.. your acting like 9 pounds is a whole lot of money.. And even though i grinded up my br from nothing myself.. and were very happy with every dollar i won.. I knew deep inside it was still very little money even though i cared about it more then it was worth.

      I meant I quadrupled £9 to £36.

Life was spilling over in to all areas of my life and it's blown up completely recently, which means it can finally start to settle down. I'm pretty sure I can get my self discipline together once I have fewer distractions.

Just email support to disable casino and other games. I used to bleed money on casino as well. You never know when weak moment comes and if you wasted BR once you will do it again ;)
