      too little hands to give an accurate picture.

      i think flatting the 3bet and trying to outplay him on the flop gives your more room for maneuver

      True but then if an underflop does come (which is the flop i would want) i'm still going broke

      with that in mind you made the only correct play.If you just call and flop comes Q,K,A you will never know if you have the best hand and may eventually fold it.When underflop comes you will always stack off versus him and he won't be holding a weaker hand e.g. he won't probably stack of with random garbage so you lose so much value if you just call.You can start thinking of calling with AA and maybe KK but nothing else versus this guy

      with JJ seems quite standard shove
      problem flatting is that you very often face overcard and cat really outplay him too much
      But once he 3-bets he should also call often shove with worse hands
