Known players: (for a description of vp$ip, pfr, ats, folded bb, af, wts, wsd or hands click here)
      Position:
      Stack
      MP2:
      $35.68
      Hero:
      $50.50

      0.25/0.50 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.9 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6:diamond: , 8:diamond:
      MP2 raises to $1.00, 4 folds, Hero calls $0.50.

      Flop: ($2.25) 2:diamond: , K:club: , 3:diamond: (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $1, Hero calls $1.00.

      Turn: ($4.25) 5:spade: (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $3, Hero calls $3.00.

      River: ($10.25) 7:diamond: (2 players)
      Hero bets $8.50, MP2 calls $8.50.

      Final Pot: $27.25

Villain often made these minraises from any position with wide handrange, especially from UTG so decided to play HU here for extra BB. Villain's WSD% was pretty high (55%) and he often seemed to think I was just bluffing, so do I get the implied odds to call on the turn if I know that he will call me on river if I make bigger valuebet than I normally do when I hit my gutshot or flush?

Think it would've been smarter to play check/raise vs him on flop?

      Hi degnic!

You have 12 outs. Your turn call should be ok because you have a lot of implied odds against this opponent with 55 WTSD. A check/raise on the flop doesn't make sense because of the same reason: with 55 WTSD he wouldn't fold often enough to make this semibluff profitable. Nice hand!

      Good luck at the tables!

I somewhat agree with you, still i would definitely lead out on the flop cause you even get a guy with 55 wtsd to fold "better" hand
      eg 69o ;)

And in case ur getting called u just created a pot being able to get a better payoff when your hand completes on a later street

I'd c/r with that many outs, semibluff is my game!~~
