      Agreed. I know we usually advice raising donkbets when in doubt, but mostly it's when you're pretty sure villain is a fish and/or a reg that doesn't represent a strong range.

      Here it's possible villain is a very tight reg rather than a fish, and villain most likely wouldn't lead this board without at least some piece of it no matter who he is. When he does have a piece, he usually has either two pairs+ or a pair with a draw that he's never folding to a raise. So it's a pretty awful spot to try and pull something, which makes your raise with A4 pretty worthless.

      What will end up happening is, even assuming you don't get 3bet on the flop, you'll have to check back almost any turn because of poor fold equity when villain still has a good piece (if he even lets you check it back, he could just donk right out), then assuming he doesn't lead the river either and both street were blanks, try to bluff him off one pair by bombing the river. Even in that case your line would look so weird he might just call with his Jx.
