      Check flop. It's the sort of board where you're going to get raised a lot, but you want to see turn with overs + gutshot + backdoor flush draw.

      Agreed. The more loose passive the villain, the more you can get away with c-betting anyway since 1/ he always has whiffed cards on every board 2/ it's quite unlikely he puts in a gross spot by betting. If you feel villain fits that category well enough for you to get away with a c-bet for value/protection go ahead, otherwise don't bother.
