Kinda hard to call that one without having played with the guy.
Personally I'd bet bigger on the turn to get more value from Ax before the board possibly turns ugly, hence I'd be less likely to induce a raise from a hand we beat (doesn't matter since I don't expect him to fold it anyway), which would make it easier to find a fold if I did indeed get raised.
As it is, who knows. If he's ever donking out top pairs on the flop I think it's possible he check/raises the turn with those, so I wouldn't fold. If you don't think he's ever lead/calling with just Ax on the flop, fold the flop?
