Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      MP3:
      $2.72
      CO:
      $4.90
      BU (Hero):

Preflop: Hero is BU with Q, K.
      MP2 calls $0.05, MP3 calls $0.05, CO folds, Hero raises to $0.30, SB folds, BB calls $0.25, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $0.25.

      Flop: ($0.97) 9, 6, K (3 players)

      Turn: ($7.89) 9 (2 players)

      River: ($7.89) 2 (2 players)

      Final Pot: $7.89.

      Results follow:

Hero shows two pairs, kings and nines(Qc Kc).
BB shows four of a kind, nines(9s 9c).

BB wins with four of a kind, nines(9s 9c).

Is this play correct? Please advise. I was wondering if you hit top pair on flop and another player come over the top on you. Should you call?

we beat a great part of his range, any Kx, 9x, flush draws, straight draws, gut shots and he's a midstack hence most likely a fish hence it's definitely a value call given that our required equity for profitable calling is 34%. easy game :) anyway post it in the right forum and you can get an official evaluation by pokerstrategy hand evaluators. moderators please! :f_biggrin:

      +1
top pair with good kicker is enough to b7c there against midstack shove
as supeyiro said his hand range is definitely wider than ours, which would make it easy b/c
