\nlibrairie pour cette nouvelle maison d'édition (Sonatine<\/a>) qui
\na pris l'initiative de mettre à disposition des lecteurs
\nfrançais cette incroyable biographie. Il faut admettre que la
\nvie de Stuey Ungar présente tous les ingrédients
\nnécessaires à l'élaboration d'un mythe. Depuis
\nson enfance dans la boutique de son bookmaker de père jusqu'à
\nses incroyables exploits en WSOP ; entre ses débuts comme
\njoueur de rami et sa chute inexorable qui a précédé
\nune fin tragique en 1998, le parcours de cette légende
\nincontestée du jeu sous toutes ses formes est ponctué
\nd'épisodes hors du commun.
\n\n<\/div>

<\/p>

\nCeux qui ne connaissent
\npas encore Stu Ungar trouveront dans ce livre de quoi satisfaire leur
\nlégitime curiosité. Quant à ceux qui en ont déjà
\nentendu parler - peut-être par l'intermédiaire du film
\nde A. Vidmer - ils découvriront une mine de détails
\nstupéfiants. Car les auteurs, Nolan Dalla et Peter Alson, ne
\nsont pas des nouveaux venus dans le monde du poker (Nolan Dalla est
\nle directeur de la communication des World Series). Ils ont ainsi eu
\naccès à des informations de première main du
\nvivant de Stuey, par l'intermédiaire de ses proches et des
\nplus grands joueurs à l'avoir cotoyé (Amarillo Slim,
\nDoyle Brunson, Phil Hellmut,...).\n<\/p>

<\/p>

\nAu-delà de la
\ndimension extraordinaire de l'existence du Kid, les amateurs de poker
\ndécouvriront tout un monde peuplé de personnages hauts
\nen couleurs, une époque aujourd'hui révolue, mais
\nsurtout les dessous du plus important des tournois de poker. Car
\nau-delà des statistiques et de la stratégie, le poker a
\naussi une histoire, une ambiance, et une atmosphère toute
\nparticulière qui participent indéniablement à
\nson succès toujours croissant.\n<\/p>
