503 joueurs étaient donc présents la semaine dernière au Bellagio pour disputer le World Poker Tour Five Diamonds. Surnommé le « WPT Doyle Brunson », ce tournoi au buy-in de 10.300$ a proposé un prizepool de près de 5 millions de dollars, ce qui en fait logiquement l’une des étapes les plus importantes du circuit.<\/p>

A la surprise générale, le grand vainqueur de cette nuit se nomme Ravi Raghavan. Cet Américain d’origine indienne réalise ici sa plus belle performance et remporte plus d’1,2 million de dollars. Pourtant short stack en début de table finale et assis aux côtés de nombreux cadors du circuit, il parviendra néanmoins à se frayer un chemin vers la victoire pour finalement se défaire en Heads Up de Shawn Buchanan.<\/p>

Après une année 2012 gorgée de victoires majeures sur le circuit, Antonio Esfandiari<\/strong> réalise une nouvelle performance de taille. Vainqueur du tournoi en 2010, le « Magicien » aurait pu devenir le premier joueur à remporter le même tournoi WPT à deux reprises mais malheureusement son As-K va buter face à la paire d’As de Ravi. Il termine à la 4e place et ajoute 329.339$ à sa bankroll.<\/p>
