\nLe dixième tournoi était
\nencore un mixed event, consacré cette fois au Hi-Low 8 or
\nBetter : les niveaux étaient divisés en séquences
\nalternées de Omaha et de Stud, avec une cadence de huit mains
\npour chaque variante. Le buy-in de 2.500$ avait tout de même
\nrassemblé 388 joueurs, parmi lesquels bon nombre de
\nspécialistes de ces styles de poker assez techniques.\n<\/p>

\nParmi les premiers éliminés,
\non comptait Tony G, Chris Ferguson et Barry Greenstein qui a laissé
\ncomme d'habitude un exemplaire dédicacé de son livre à
\nson bourreau du jour. Josh Arieh a eu l'honneur de se faire sortir
\npar Micheal Mizrachi, et Jennifer Harman par Allen Cunningham. Daniel
\nNegreanu est tombé sous le coup de grâce de Chris
\nReslock en Stud avec 3c6c 4xQs7s KsJh contre 2c2d 3s5s9c ThQc, la
\n7ème rue ne permettant à aucun des deux joueurs de
\nqualifier un Low. Reslock s'est également débarrassé
\nde Mike Matusow.\n<\/p>

\nParmi d'autres victimes du Day1, il
\nfaut noter Gavin Griffin et le très grand joueur sous-estimé
\nqu'est John Juanda (qui s'est néanmoins illustré avec
\nune septième place à l'Event 11). Par contre, la star
\ndu jour était incontestablement Men « The Master »
\nNguyen pour son édifiante illustration du fameux adage « One
\nchip, one chair » : bien que descendu au niveau
\ndangereusement bas d'un seul jeton de 25, il fit en effet remonter
\nson tapis à plus de 10.000.\n<\/p>

\nLe Day2 a débuté avec
\nune centaine de joueurs, et un long chemin à parcourir
\njusqu'aux quarante places payées. C'est Jordan Rich qui avait
\nalors le chip lead, et Michael Mizrachi figurait en bonne place, soit
\ndans le top ten. Chris Reslock a sauté parmi les premiers,
\nmalgré sa belle combativité de la veille. Howard
\nLederer l'a suivi peu de temps après. C'est Hoyt Corkins qui a
\nmis un terme à la belle aventure de Men Nguyen sur une main de
\nStud : le Maître avait 7h9h-3s6cJs suivis de 4s6d, mais son
\nopposant a touché : Ts2h-JsTdAs-4hQc. Le même Corkins
\ns'est ensuite payé la peau de Greg Raymer en Omaha sur un
\nboard 3-5-6-A-7 rainbow : Raymer a montré K-J-7-8 alors que
\nCorkins avait A-5-A-7.\n<\/p>

\nScott Clements a du batailler ferme
\npour ne pas faire la bulle, ce qu'il a réussi ; mais a
\npourtant été achevé en 39ème position
\n(seulement 4.016$) par Michael Mizrachi qui s'est retrouvé
\ntemporairement chip leader. Clements avait A-5-8-8 contre « the
\nwheel » obtenue grâce à 4-5-A-10 sur un
\ntableau 3-A-Q-2-2. Allen Cunningham a quant à lui atteint la
\n22ème place (6.247$). Leffrey Lisandro a fait 19ème et
\nHoyt Corkins 14ème (10.709$).\n<\/p>

\nLe confortable stack de Michael
\nMizrachi lui a permis d'atteindre une huitième place qui l'a
\nenrichi de 24.095$. Quant au fameux bracelet, c'est un dénommé
\nFarzad Rouhani qui a pu le passer à son poignet tandis que son
\nportefeuille se gonflait instantanément grâce à
\nl'apport d'un pactole substantiel : 232.911$. C'est Tom Chambers qui
\na perdu le heads up, mais pas sa journée puisque la deuxième
\nplace rapportait tout de même 142.784$.\n<\/p>
