35, 36 et 37, cela sonnait comme une \"suite\" mathématique douce à l'oreille, comme une suite de nombres que nous pensions être comme un signe, celui d'une France riche de titres et de tables finales dans ces WSOP 2014. Ils auront tout essayé nos français, ils auront lutté, mais soit par manque de cartes ou de chance, soit car la destinée en avait décidé autrement, ils ne porteront pas en triomphe leurs beaux bracelets. Retour sur une journée sans, au \"Paradiso Perduto\" !<\/p>

Event#35 8-Handed NLH 5.000$ : <\/b>ils avaient l'envie nos deux français, on les sentait en forme et pourtant, rien n'y a fait pour Sylvain Looslie et Erwann Pecheux, qui n'ont pas réussi à inverser la tendance et à se sortir des \"griffes\" de leurs adversaires respectifs.<\/p>\n

Hier en en parlant avec Erwann Pecheux, il nous disait que le 8-Handed était sa formule favorite en NLH, le full ring étant ennuyeux et le 6-max parfois trop \"high variance\", \"le 8-Handed c'est parfait\". <\/p>\n

Ce 18 juin, lorsqu'Erwann a été éliminé de ce tournoi, sa réaction a été la même que celle de Sylvain Loosli dont pourtant le regard déterminé, nous impressionnait hier. Tristesse, déception et remise en question rongeaient nos deux porte-drapeaux qui souhaitaient bien davantage qu'une 16e place pour Loosli et une 19e place pour Erwann, en France on aime la perfection, sans podium pas de satisfaction réelle.<\/p>\n

Event#36 No Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball : <\/b>Samuel Touil respecte l'argent mais dans ce tournoi, c'était bien plus qu'une question de dollars pour le joueur français, il voulait remporter un bracelet, le reste n'avait aucune importance. En le rencontrant dans les couloirs du RIO, nous avons d'ailleurs ressenti que la main qui l'avait éliminé, il l'avait joué de cette façon pour une seule chose, remporter un titre. Il aurait pu \"jouer petits bras\" comme il nous l'a précisé, mais pas de ça chez les Touil, lui le frère de Fabrice Touil autre passionné de poker et habitué des beaux résultats dans les tournois à gros buy-in. On sentait que Samuel regrettait un peu de ne pas avoir \"cassé ce dix\" sur le dernier coup, mais pas de \"prise de tête\", \"ça devait se passer ainsi\" selon Samuel, \"rien n'est dû au hasard\".<\/p>\n

Event#37 Pot Limit Omaha 1.500$ : <\/b>Bataille d'hommes ? Bataille d'égo ? Mais qu'est-il arrivé entre Fabrice Soulier et Galen Hall quand le français a perdu 234.000 jetons sur une seule main avec uniquement \"top paire\" dans un pot énorme ? Le français qui avait terminé la journée dans le top 3 du chipcount du DAY 1 avait littéralement dominé de la tête et des épaules ce DAY 2 puis vers 18h00, pour une raison qui peut paraitre étrange, il a perdu ce coup \"gigantesque\" contre le joueur américain, comme happé par la soif de bluffer un coup presque perdu d'avance ou comme dans un moment de lutte contre l'impossible, Fabsoul a perdu les commandes du bateau devenu tout à coup un bateau ivre. Un de mes collègues allemand me précisa ne pas avoir compris ce qui était passé par la tête du pro sponsorisé par Everest Poker, comme si le temps s'était arrêté pour de plus donner aucune chance à Fabrice de remporter un nouveau bracelet. Fabsoul termina 52e pour 5.639$, bien loin du talent de notre champion français.<\/p>\n

Nous avons cependant encore une lueur d'espoir dans cet Event #37. Gabriel Nassif est en effet 10e sur 11 joueurs restants mais il dispose d'une vingtaine de blinds et de plus d'un tiers des jetons du premier donc tout est encore possible ! Venez tous le soutenir sur le Forum !<\/p>\n
