\nDuane 'Dewey' Tomko<\/b>\n<\/p>

\"DeweyDuane Tomko (à gauche) fait partie des joueurs les plus connus de Las Vegas. Depuis 1979, il a fini 44 fois en place payée aux WSOP et a décroché trois bracelets. Il a gagné le premier en 1979, en No Limit Hold'Em 1.000 $, puis en 1984 au Pot Limit Omaha 5.000 $ et au Deuce to Seven Draw 10.000$.<\/p>

\nTomko a également participé à trente cinq reprises aux WSOP. Il a failli remporter à deux reprises le titre principal. En 1982, il a fini à la deuxième place sur 104 participants, juste derrière le grand Jack Straus, qui a pu réussir un fantastique come-back avec un seul jeton et a ensuite remporté le tournoi. En 2001, l'histoire s'est répétée puisque Carlos Mortensen l'a devancé, ainsi que 613 autres participants. Tomko a finalement succombé contre Mortensen à cause d'une paire d'As slowplayée.\n<\/div>

\nHenry Orenstein<\/b>\n<\/p>\n

\"HenryHenry Orenstein (à droite) est aussi connu que Tomko. Il est celui qui a inventé les caméras placées dans les tables de poker, afin de révéler la valeur des cartes. Il a également lancé l'émission TV High Stakes Poker, rendant le poker plus accessible à une large audience. Grâce à son action et ses idées révolutionnaires, il a été un acteur essentiel dans la reconnaissance du poker dans les médias.\n<\/p><\/div>

\nLes caméras cachées dans les tables ont permis de rendre le poker spectaculaire à la télévision et ont permis le boom de ce jeu. Son deuxième projet principal, High Stakers Poker, a permis d'introniser le format du cash-game à la télévision, faisant découvrir autre chose que les tournois aux téléspectateurs.\n

En 1996, Orenstein a remporté un bracelet au Seven Card Stud 5.000$, son seul bracelet à ce jour.\n<\/p><\/div>

\nLe Poker Hall of Fame<\/b>\n<\/p>\n

Le Poker Hall of Fame a été créé en 1979 au Binion's Horseshoe, afin de mettre à l'honneur les plus méritants des joueurs de poker. L'année dernière, c'est Phil Hellmuth et Barbara Enright (la première femme à être honorée) qui ont été promus au Poker Hall of Fame. <\/p>\n

On y retrouve de grands joueurs comme Johnny Moss, Jack Straus, Benny et Jack Binion, le grand Stu Ungar, Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan et d'autres noms importants du milieu du poker<\/p>\n
