\nEn 1967, Annie et Constantin Negreanu quittaient la Roumanie communiste pour tenter leur chance dans la lointaine Amérique et commencer une nouvelle vie et un nouveau départ. Ils déposèrent leurs valises à Toronto au Canada et le 26 juillet de l'année 1974, leur second fils naissait: Daniel.\n

A l'âge de 15 ans, il apprenait le poker et déjà il jouait dans des parties légales et illégales. Il pariait également sur des événements sportifs et il participait aussi à des concours de billard. Il gagnait d'ailleurs déjà de l'argent en jouant au snooker.<\/p>\n

Mais à l'âge de 18 ans, il décida toutefois de se consacrer uniquement au poker et abandonna l'école. Il joua quelques tournois locaux dans la région de Toronto où il rencontra une croupière du nom de Evelyn Ng. Cette paire forma un couple durant quelques années et, depuis, Evelyn Ng est elle-même devenue une joueuse professionnelle.\n<\/p><\/div>

<\/p>

\nPREMIÈRES EXPÉRIENCES À VEGAS<\/span>\n<\/div>
\nUne vie traditionnelle <\/b>? Non, merci.<\/b>\n

A cette époque, Daniel a travaillé pendant une courte période en tant qu'un \"travailleur normal\". Il a en effet travaillé un jour dans un call center et un mois dans un Subway (chaîne de sandwicheries). Toutefois, il réalisa rapidement qu'une \"vie ordinaire\" telle que celle-la était hors de question pour lui.<\/p>\n

Vegas ! Vegas ? Ruiné !<\/b><\/p>\n

Arriva finalement le jour de ses 21 ans, lui permettant enfin de jouer légalement au poker. Il décida immédiatement alors de se rendre à Las Vegas pour tenter sa chance. Il parvint à garder la tête hors de l'eau durant 7 mois mais dû finalement se résigner à retourner à la maison, au Canada, sans un sou mais avec une grande expérience.\n<\/p><\/div>

\nLA PERCÉE<\/span>\n<\/div>
\nMalgré cette expérience négative, Negreanu était convaincu qu'il devait continuer à jouer au poker et à devenir bon. A Toronto, il parvint à se reconstruire une bankroll dans les casinos locaux et, en 1997, il quitta une fois de plus sa terre natale à la conquête de l'univers du poker.\n

Premiers Succès<\/b><\/p>\n

Cette seconde tentative se révéla être la bonne. Il gagna immédiatement deux événements aux World Poker Finals à Foxwoods et fût déclaré meilleur joueur du tournoi. Alors qu'il augmenta sa bankroll de quelques 50.000 $ en un très court laps de temps, il pouvait enfin tenter sa chance dans des tournois plus important.<\/p>\n

Kid Poker <\/b><\/p>\n

Se sentant inspiré par cette expérience, Daniel participa à ses premiers WSOP en 1998, au tournoi Limit Hold'em de 2.000 $, qu'il remporta qui plus est. Par conséquence, il devint alors le plus jeune joueur de poker de l'histoire à remporter un bracelet. En 2004, il céda ce titre au profit de Gavin Griffin mais cela resta néanmoins l'heure de la naissance de \"Kid Poker\". Grâce à ses succès plus tôt dans l'année, Daniel reçu ce surnom qu'il utilise encore à ce jour lorsqu'il joue en ligne.\n<\/p><\/div>

\nGESTION DE CRISE VIA SES SUCCÈS<\/span>\n<\/div>
\nLe \"Kid\" continuait son parcours gagnant au poker en remportant, par exemple, le Championnat de Poker des États-Unis en 1999. Toutefois, ce succès semblait lui monter à la tête ou lui mettre trop de pression. Il commenca à boire de l'alcool de manière excessive, à gaspiller son argent et à se sentir souvent si seul que les choses finirent pas être très calmes pour lui en 2000.\n

Heureusement, un an plus tard il réussit à reprendre ses esprits et à changer radicalement de vie. En 2001, il rentra dans l'argent à de nombreux tournois et ramena l'attention sur lui lors du Main Event des WSOP alors qu'il manqua de justesse la table finale en atteignant la 11ème place.<\/p>\n

\"WSOP\"Dans les années qui suivirent également, Daniel créa la sensation aux WSOP : en 2003 il remporta le S.H.O.E. et en 2004 il remporta un nouveau bracelet en Limit Hold'em. Dans la même année, Negreanu réalisa 5 autres \"cash\" dans des tournois WSOP et gagna deux épreuves du WPT. Cette incroyable performance fût récompensée par le titre de Meilleur Joueur de l'Année aux WSOP et le titre du Joueur de l'Année par le magazine Card Player.\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\t<\/tr>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\nAvec quatre bracelets WSOP et deux titres WPT à ce jour, Negreanu est un des joueurs de tournoi les plus titrés de l'histoire. Ces victoires et autant de tables finales lui ont déjà rapporté la somme incroyable de 11.200.000 $. Il est le joueur avec le plus important montant de gains cumulés au WPT et est uniquement battu par Jamie Gold dans le \"All Time Money List\" pour les gains en tournois.\n<\/div>
\nAUTEUR POPULAIRE ET blogger<\/span>\n<\/div>
\nAlors qu'un Jamie Gold est poursuivi par une réputation douteuse, Daniel Negreanu est bien vu et respecté par presque chaque joueur de poker et fan. En plus de son incroyable talent au poker et de ses \"reads\" uniques, c'est le Negreanu \"facile-à-vivre\", le fan de hockey sur glace qui aime s'asseoir à la table de poker en portant le maillot de son équipe favorite ou encore celui qui salue sa maman avec enthousiasme qui fait l'unanimité.\n

Rien que pour ces raisons, le blog de Negreanu et ses articles de poker sont très populaires. A côté de sa carrière de poker, il est devenu un auteur en ligne à succès. En 2007, il a lancé sur le marché son propre livre de poker: \"Hold'em Wisdom for All Players\".\n<\/p><\/div>

\nNegreanu et LE Cash game<\/span>\n<\/div>
\n\"HSP\"En tant que fan de poker, vous avez également pu suivre ses aventures dans l'émission télévisée à succès \"High Stakes Poker\". Negreanu est un des rares joueurs à avoir été présent à chaque saison et est également le seul à s'être assis à la table dans chaque épisode. Durant ces émissions, vous avez certainement remarqué que Daniel était végétarien. Depuis qu'il a commencé à jouer au poker à l'âge de 18 ans, sa maman lui prépare régulièrement ses repas. C'est ainsi qu'elle a souvent pu être aperçue à travers différents événements pokéristiques alors qu'elle apportait à manger à son fiston.\n


\nCash Game au Casino<\/b><\/p>\n

En 2005, Daniel a brièvement été sous contrat avec le Wynn Casino de Las Vegas. Il jouait alors exclusivement à cet endroit mais décida finalement de rompre ce contrat après quelques mois afin de ne pas être limité à jouer dans ce seul casino. Depuis lors, \"Kid Poker\" peut être trouvé au Big Game du Bellagio ainsi qu'à d'autres tables de cash game à Vegas.\n<\/p><\/div>

\nPRÉSENCE Online<\/span>\n<\/div>
\nToutefois, Daniel Negreanu ne joue pas uniquement dans les casinos. Il joue aussi en ligne. Après l'échec qu'a connu sa propre room de poker, il a rejoint la Team Pro de PokerStars<\/a> en 2007 et est devenue la figure de proue de la société.\n<\/div>
\nLA VIE EN DEHORS DES TABLES<\/span>\n<\/div>
\nEn dehors des tables de poker, Daniel est resté loyal à sa seconde passion: le billard. De plus, il adore jouer à des jeux video et est un grand amateur de golf.\n

Au-delà de sa passion pour le jeu, il s'investit auprès de plusieurs oeuvres de charité telle que \"Make a Wish Foundation\". Il tente également de participer à des tournois destinés à financer une bonne cause.<\/p>\n

Daniel Negreanu vit aujourd'hui à Las Vegas et il est divorcé de Lori, dont il fut l'époux d'octobre 2005 à novembre 2007.<\/p>\n
