\n\"JenniferAvec seulement 9 jours pour organiser et faire la promotion de l'événement, la mobilisation était moindre que l'année précédente avec ses 230 participants et une levée de fonds d'un montant de 325.000$. Toutefois, un parterre de stars et de supporters avaient fait le déplacement pour soutenir Jennifer Harman et apporter leur contribution.\n

La venue des superstars du poker telles que Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth ou encore Daniel Negreanu est une marque de l'attachement qu'ils ont pour Harman mais aussi de leur amour pour les animaux. Surtout la star canadienne qui a déboursé des milliers de dollars lors des enchères après la partie.<\/p>\n

Dans l'assistance, il y avait aussi quelques célébrités n'étant pas issues du poker. La plus remarquée était sans aucun doute la personne prêtant sa voix à Bart Simpson : Nancy Cartwright. Cartwright, qui était la voix préférée de la série jusqu'à ce que celle de Homer Simpson la détrône au milieu des années 90, a assuré l'animation de la soirée, que cela soit avec sa voix naturelle ou celle de Bart Simpson.<\/p>\n

La séance des ventes aux enchères a définitivement mis le feu à la soirée, surtout lorsque Daniel Negreanu a débarqué sur scène, offrant 28.000$ pour un rencart avec la joueuse de poker et présentatrice (très sexy) Lacey Jones.<\/p>\n

Mis aux enchères également, un dîner pour 12 personnes dans le restaurant du Chef Dakake à Vegas avec Jennifer Harman et la légende du baseball Pete Rose. Le génie du blackjack reconverti au poker Andy Bloch a surenchéri tout le monde pour cette soirée avec une offre à 10.000$.<\/p>\n

La fin de soirée a laissé ensuite la place aux éclats de rire avec la mise aux enchères d'un plateau de dessert n'ayant pas été consommé. Negreanu et Layne Flack ont chacun acheté une part de ce gâteau pour 200$ alors que le vainqueur de deux bracelets WSOP Jeff Madsen a ajouté 180$ pour les 4 parts restantes.\n<\/p><\/div>

\nLa société protectrice des animaux du Nevada (The Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) est la dernière oeuvre de charité à profiter de la générosité des joueurs de poker et c'est une cause qui en vaut la peine.\n

L'organisatrice de l'événement, Lisa Wheeler, a souligné l'importance de cette association et de cet événement annuel pour lever des fonds : \"Tout le monde est resté jusqu'à la fin. Tout le personnel de cette association compte sur cet événement et sur l'arrivée de cet argent pour pouvoir faire de nouvelles choses. L'année passée, ils ont construit une nouvelle aile au bâtiment.
