caber (quatre fois vainqueur du Top 250 !)  et ganstarapper  (membre Diamant, deuxième en septembre) étaient de passage à Gibraltar le week-end dernier. Un léger détail les distinguait cependant du touriste moyen : caber venait récupérer un chèque de 100.000$ offert par Mansion<\/a> récompensant  les  joueurs qui accumulent 32.000.000 de points sur cette room. Il est d'ailleurs le tout premier joueur à revendiquer ce chèque. Son comparse ganstarapper envisage de venir chercher la même somme dans les semaines qui suivent.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>

<\/p>

Un chèque de 100.000$ !<\/h1>

Plutôt impressionnant venant de ces deux amis (ils se sont rencontrés il y a cinq ans dans leur club d’échecs) qui ont commencé le poker il y a à peine deux ans ! Même s'ils ne sont âgés que de 19 et 20 ans et leur parcours est fulgurant. Des premiers SNG joués le week-end pour quelques bières, Caber a commencé à jouer en ligne en SPT durant les premiers mois, «<\/i>le meilleur moyen de débuter et de se construire une bankroll<\/i>»<\/i>. Puis il a rapidement gravi les échelons, passant en SNG FR 200$ puis 500$ et 1.000$. Comme le trafic ne suffisait plus, il a ensuite opté pour le short handed. <\/p>

Ganstarapper, joueur de SNG également, a quant à lui un parcours un peu moins linéaire. Il a tout d’abord perdu les 50$ offerts par PokerStrategy.com en moins de trois heures, puis a du accepter le fait de jouer avec un pseudo qui ne reflète pas vraiment ses goûts. « <\/i>J’écoute plutôt du punk\/rock mais certainement pas du rap ! C'est Caber qui m’a choisi  ce surnom  sans me demander mon avis, maintenant je dois vivre avec !<\/i>»<\/i>. Pas découragé pour autant il a réinvesti 200$ et opté pour une meilleure gestion de bankroll. L’aide de Caberlui a été précieuse cette fois-ci. C'est ce dernier qui lui a servi de coach, le poussant à travailler son jeu et à lire en profondeur les articles de stratégie. « <\/i>C’est vrai que je peux être un  peu feignant<\/i> »<\/i> <\/i>nous confie-t-il en rigolant. Grâce à ça il a réussi à accumuler 5.000 points en un mois et fut de ce fait convié à la Diamond Party à Munich.<\/p>

Concernant leur rapport au poker, il est plutôt atypique. « C’est mon job, pas un hobby »<\/i>, nous affirme Caber sans sourciller. «<\/i> Lorsque je suis en vacances je ne touche même pas mon ordinateur mais si je joue c’est par tranche de douze jours, sept heures quotidiennement, sur 16 tables <\/i>»<\/i>. Avec un buy-in moyen de 200$ par SNG (avec quelques pointes à 1.000$ ou 2.000$) la concentration et le sérieux sont de rigueur. Et c'est en super turbo que notre Black Member officie le plus souvent.<\/p>

\"Je déteste le rap !\" - Ganstarapper<\/h1>

«<\/i>Dans la vie de tout les jours je ne me présente jamais en tant que joueur de poker<\/i>»<\/i>, une occupation que certains ont encore du mal à comprendre. Leurs familles respectives ont mis du temps à accepter ce nouveau mode de vie, à l’image de la copine de Ganstarapper. «<\/i> Ça commence d'ailleurs à me coûter cher en cadeux !<\/i>»<\/i>. Ils se retrouvent également sur le fait de ne pas flamber leurs gains. Ils cash out très peu, l’essentiel allant renforcer leur bankroll. Les bonus, comme le chèque astronomique de 100.000$, sont aussi à prendre avec précaution : «<\/i> ils ne doivent surtout pas être prétexte pour changer de limite, ils ne sont pas synonymes de skills en plus <\/i>»<\/i>. <\/i><\/p>

Une chose est sûre»<\/i>,<\/i> nous dit Caber, <\/i>« <\/i>nous n’aurions jamais imaginé avoir cette vie il y a deux ans. Sans l’apport de PokerStrategy.com nous n’aurions pas pu acquérir tout ce savoir »<\/i>. En parlant de PokerStrategy.com que pensent-ils des joueurs francophone ? « Ils sont à prendre au sérieux, leur niveau est bien meilleur qu’il y a un an. »<\/i>. Ganstarapper nous affirme en passant que ce mois-ci, il finira sans doute premier du Top 250, devant notre sgosgo national !<\/p>

L’avenir s’annonce donc radieux pour nos high-rollers même s'ils ne se voient pas jouer éternellement au poker. Caber envisage de passer semi-pro l’année prochaine afin de terminer en parallèle ses études en économie. Ganstarapper dit qu'il ne refuserait pas un contrat de sponsoring, mais il continue tout de même son cursus universitaire en finance. Quant on vous dit qu’ils ont la tête sur les épaules...<\/p>

Le soir, nous sommes retrouvés de nouveau autour d’un table de cash game, décidément il y a de moins en moins de fish à Gibraltar \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>
