Egy stack (letét<\/a>) akkor deep (mély), ha említésre méltóan nagyobb, mint a maximum asztal<\/a> buy-in<\/a> (nevezési díj). Ha például egy játékosnak 200 dollárja van egy olyan asztalnál, ahova maximum 100 dollárral lehet beszállni, akkor ő egy deep. Egy ilyen játékosnak lehetősége van arra, hogy egy adott kézben több pénzt nyerjen a többi deep stacktől, másrészt viszont megvan az a hátránya is, hogy ennek az ellenkezőjére is igaz.<\/p>

\nEgy ilyen állás a játékmódra illetve a stratégiára is kihat, mert egy deep játékos az előbb említett okok miatt jobb implikált esélyekkel rendelkezik egy másik játékos ellen, és így először elintézheti a költséges játéklépéseket kizárólag abból az okból kifolyólag, mert több pénzt is nyerhet, ha a tétkör folyamán össze tud hozni egy erős kezet. A költség\/nyereség arány, ami a bank esélyek és az implikált esélyek<\/a> koncepciójának az alapja, annyira eltolódik, hogy a költségeknek a nagyobb lehetséges nyeremény miatt magasabbnak kell lenniük.<\/p>
