Meghatározás<\/h2>

\nAz expected value, várható érték<\/a>, mathematical Expectation vagy mint EV<\/a> is, azt az átlagosan várható nyereséget vagy veszteséget jelöli, ami egy adott szituációból származhat, figyelembe véve annak minden lehetséges folyományát és valószínűségét.<\/p>

Az várható érték<\/a> kiszámítása<\/h2>

\nAz várható érték<\/a> kiszámításához egyrészt ismernünk kell az összes további játékfolyamat valószínűségét, másrészt a mindenkor lehetséges eredményhez tartozó kifizetéseket, melyek lehetnek negatívak, vagyis közvetlen veszteségek is. <\/p>

Ev=P(eredmény1)xKifizetés1+P(eredmény 2)x kifizetés 2+...+P(eredmény n)x kifizetés n<\/i><\/p>

Példa: <\/b>2 játékos egy ideális érmét dobálnak fel. Ha fej, akkor „B\" játékos fizet „A\" játékosnak egy dollárt. Ha írás, akkor az „A\" játékos fizet egy dollárt a „B\" játékosnak. Annak a valószínűsége, hogy fej ill. írás esik le, 50%-nál van. Így az EV-t mindkét játékos részére ki lehet számítani. <\/p>

EV<\/a> = 50% * (+1$) + 50% * (-1$) = 0$

\nEgy másik számítási mód, ami közvetlenül a tét tiszta nyereségét adja meg:
\nEV(tét)= pot<\/a> equity - tét
\n<\/i>
\nPélda: <\/b>A és B játékos újra egy ideális érmét dob. A kifizetések is ugyanazok, mint előtte csak minden dobás<\/a> kezdetével 1$-t dobnak a bankba, ami azt követően az adott dobás<\/a> nyertese kap meg. Mindkét játékos az esetek 50%-ában megnyeri a potot, aminek összege mindig 2$. Az ő pot<\/a> equity-jük, tehát részesedésük a bankban, ami kifizetésként jár nekik az átlag nyerési valószínűségükhöz mérten jár nekik, szintén a mindenkori pot<\/a> 50%-a, vagyis 1$. Az EV-jük ezért:\n<\/p>

\nEV= Részesedés<\/a> - Tét=1$-1$=0$<\/i>\n<\/p>
