A fish<\/a> (hal) egyik oldalról egy gúnyszó, másik oldalról egyszerűen egy kifejezés a rossz játékosra, aki a játékmódja alapján nagy nyereményeket ígér. A halakat az jellemzi, hogy alig, vagy egyáltalán nem rendelkeznek a játékra vonatkozó stratégiai ismeretekkel, és gyakran tesznek olyan játéklépéseket, melyeknek eleve negatív az elvárt értéke, például úgy, hogy túl nagy árért hajszolnak valamilyen marginális kezet. Az ilyen játékosra szintén gyakran használt gúnyszó még a retardált, tök idióta, vagy egyszerűen hülye, buta. <\/p>

Ezzel szemben azokat a kiváló játékosokat cápáknak nevezik, akik a halak zsebéből kiveszik a pénzt. Egy fokozattal lejjebb vannak az ún. barrakudák, akik számára a halak szintén könnyű prédát jelentenek, és a viszonylag jó, vagy akár középszerű játékosok. A nagyon agresszív<\/a> játékost piranha-nak hívják. Az olyan asztalt, ahol sok rossz játékos ül, akváriumnak is szokták nevezni.<\/p>
