Az olyan játékokban, ahol a tétkörben részt vevő játékosok sorrendjét a kártyaosztó\/dealer határozza meg, middle position-nek nevezzük a tétkörben a belső pozíciókat. Egy teli, 10 résztvevős asztalnál a Texas Hold'em-ben pl. a hatodik, hetedik és nyolcadik pozíció számítanak belső pozíciónak, amiket MP-nek, MP2-nek és MP3-nak is nevezünk. <\/p>

Jóllehet a játékosoknak ezekben a pozíciókban még küzdeniük kell az utánuk következő játékosokkal szembeni pozícióhátránnyal, viszont jobb kiinduló helyzetben vannak, mivel pozíciójuk van néhány játékos felett, a tétkörben pedig láthatják, hogy ezek mit csinálnak előttük.<\/p>
