Kritikám végén<\/a> (amelyben kifejtettem, hogy az Elit játszma<\/em> a legjobb pókerfilm a Pókerarcok<\/em> óta) már említettés tettem egy lehetséges Oscar-díj jelölésről, és tényleg ez történt.<\/p>\n

A Legjobb Adaptált Forgatókönyv (Best Adapted Screenplay) kategóriában jelölték, ahol a Logan<\/em>, a Mudbound<\/em>, a The Disaster Artist<\/em> és a Szólíts a neveden (Call Me By Your Name)<\/em> kemény konkurrenciát jelentenek.<\/p>\n

A jelölés mindazonáltal megérdemelt, még akkor is ha, olyan kivételes alkotásokkal kell versenybe kelnie, amelyek más, fontosabb kategóriákban is esélyesnek számítanak. Az Elit játszma hozza a könyv szintjét<\/a>, és érdekes módon a filmben még szerepeltetik is írás, a sztori ugyanis azután kezdődik, hogy a könyv már megjelent (gyenge spoiler, szinte a legelején kiderül).<\/p>\n

Habár a Pókerarcok<\/em>at tartjuk minden idők legjobb pókerfilmjének, eddig az 1974-es A nagy balhé (The Sting)<\/em> volt egyetlen olyan pókertémájú film, amit Oscar-díjra jelöltek.<\/p>\n
