\n\"RPT\"A PokerStars.com támogatásával megrendezett Russian Poker Tour szentpétervári debütálását egy név dominálta, mégpedig a hazai pályán játszó Oleg Suntsov. A döntő asztalon még shortstackként kezdett, de a dolgok hamar más fordulatot vettek.\n

A 201 induló közel egy mlliós díjalapot generált, amiből 300.000$ járt a győztesnek (több mint 10 millió orosz rubelt). Több nemzetközileg is elismert játékos mellett, az orosz pókercsillag
\nés a 2008-as év egyik feltörekvő játékosa, Ivan Demidov is ott volt a
\nrajtnál, a Team PokerStars profi játékosai, Vanessa Rousso és Alex
\nKravchenko társaságában. A döntő asztalon  végül a megszerezhető 9 ülőhelyből 7-et foglaltak el orosz játékosok. \n<\/p><\/div>\n

\nSuntsov nyeri az első RPT-t\n

\nA döntő asztalon erősen kiélezett harc várt a shortstack Suntsovra, mivel rendkívül kis letéttel rendelkezett. Minden szem a moldáv Dimitru Gaina-t figyelte, aki a döntő kezdetén a legtöbb zsetont birtokolta. Suntsov kétszer is duplázott, egyre inkább erősödött,  és többeket is kiejtett a játékból.\n

Végül a heads-up Suntsov és a fehérorosz Vadim Markushevsky között zajlott. Itt már Suntsov volt cheapleadben korábbi kiváló játékának hála. A mindent eldöntő kézben Stuntsov dáma zsebpárt tartott 693-as flopnál, ellenfele pedig K9 lapokkal csúcs párt.  A turn 5-ös és a river 2-es hamar pontot tettek az ügy végére és így Stuntsov állhatott fel győztesként.<\/p>\n
