Avendo avuto partecipanti da tutte le parti del mondo, non é una sorpresa che al tavolo finale dell'evento dell' Asia Pacific Poker Tour Cebu di PokerStars<\/a> siano presenti cosí tante nazionalitá diverse. Due neozelandesi, due sudocoreani, uno statunitense, un taiwanese, un filippino, un russo e un olandese; tutti in lizza per vincere il primo premio da 148.200$. <\/p>\n

Il chip leader alle porte della finale é il sudcoreano Sim Somyung con 1.442.000 chips, seguito a breve distanza dall'americano David Hilton con 995.000 chips.<\/p>\n

Prima di approdare al poker, il chip leader Sim (foto a destra) era un famoso giocatore di Starcraft con il nick di \"SiLvEr<\/i>\". Nel 2007 si é ritirato dal gioco, e si é dato al poker, dove ha registrato altrettanti successi, culminati con la partecipazione al tavolo finale del Main Event dell'APPT Macau dell'anno scorso.<\/p>\n

Nonostante questa sia solo la sua seconda apparizione ad un torneo major, Sim é riuscito di nuovo ad arrivare al suo secondo tavolo finale ad un APPT. Sim, che era andato all-in con le sue restanti 100.000 chips 2 ore prima della fine della giornata, ha realizzato un'impressionante rimonta verso la fine piazzandosi in testa.<\/p>\n

Prima ha raddoppiato contro David Hilton nonostante fosse in svantaggio con contro il di Hilton. Poi ha pescato , sconfiggendo il suo avversario che era andato all-in con .
