Dopo aver creato tante aspettative, alla fine JP Kelly non è riuscito a battere il record di Phil Ivey del giocatore più giovane ad aver vinto 3 braccialetti WSOP. Intanto, Ivey, Hansen e Negreanu si sono qualificati tra i 32 giocatori che parteciperanno al 3º Round dell’ High Roller Heads-up event.<\/p>

JP Kelly non arriva all'Heads-up<\/h2>

Le speranze di battere il record e di difendere il suo titolo lo hanno accompagnato fino a quando è arrivato al match heads-up contro Scott Shelley (foto a destra) dove aveva un vantaggio di quasi 1.5 a 1 . Tuttavia, alla fine, però sono svanite, quando Shelley ha effettuato un' incredibile rimonta culminata con la vittoria dopo un’ora di gioco.<\/p>

Nella mano finale della partita, accompagnata da un tifo sfrenato per entrambi i giocatori, Kelly è andato all-in con \"Qd\"\"Jh\" e Shelley ha chiamato con \"3c\"\"3h\" dopo aver realizzato un doppio check con le sue carte. Al flop è arrivato \"3s\"\"5h\"\"8c\", così Kelly ha visto svanire le sue speranze e il \"7h\" del turn ha determinato poi la sua eliminazione. <\/p>

Shelley ha vinto il primo premio da £133.857 e il braccialetto, ma JP Kelly, che ha solo 24 anni, avrà ancora tante opportunità per battere il record di Phil Ivey. Kelly ha incassato comunque £82.854.<\/p>

Ivey, Hansen e Negreanu vincono le prime due partite<\/h2>

Mentre la permanenza di Kelly all’evento è giunta al capolinea, 103 giocatori hanno pagato il buy-in da £10,350 per partecipare all’ High Roller Heads-up event. Tra questi, Tom \"durrrr\" Dwan, Viktor Blom, Gus Hansen, Phil Ivey, Ilari \"Ziigmund\" Sahamies e Daniel Negreanu.<\/p>

Mentre Blom e durrrr<\/em> sono stati eliminati rispettivamente al primo e  al secondo round, Ivey, Hansen, Ziigmund<\/em> e Negreanu hanno tutti battuto i loro primi due avversari e torneranno a giocare al 3º round.
