In questa serie di incontri, targati Pokerstars. verrà eletto vincitore il giocatore che ha ottenuto  il risultato migliore, in termini di profitto, alla fine della sessione stabilita in 2.500 mani, o colui che prima della fine della sessione ha conquistato l’intero bankroll dell’avversario.<\/p>

Cates e Blom hanno un bel po’ di storia alle spalle; il giocatore originario del Maryland è stata una delle vittime di Blom nel lontano 2009 quando l’allora misterioso svedese era in una delle fasi di maggiore ascesa della propria carriera;
Cates subì un durissimo colpo perdendo una cifra di circa $500,000 in un Heads-up intenso. <\/p>

All’epoca il giocatore statunitense dichiarò: \"Quando ho perso $ 500.000 contro Isildur1 ed ho perso 90 mila dollari il giorno dopo, il pensiero è stato ... potrei andare in rovina; la mia mente si mise a correre perché quella era una grossa fetta del mio bankroll<\/em>\".<\/p>

Cates ha recuperato durante questo 2010, ma è ancora significativamente indietro rispetto allo svedese;
la sessione di Domenica 30 Gennaio si preannuncia ricca di tensione anche considerando l’abitudine di Blom di innervosire l’avversario utilizzando la tecnica del trash-talk, per dirla nel linguaggio del poker player. <\/p>

Nella partita di Venerdì scorso non si è certo risparmiato ed il 30 Gennaio la sfida si rinnova.<\/p>
