5 nuovi braccialetti WCOOP celebrano la seconda giornata del World Championship of Online Poker.
La giornata ha favorito gli australiani, che sono riusciti a vincere due dei braccialetti; \"Bratpack1979\" ha fatto una grande rimonta nell'event #4, un torneo $320PLO, conquistando un premio da $83.518. <\/p>

Parlando di rimonte, il temuto pro Jonathan \"MONSTER_DONG\" Karamalikis era dato oramai per spacciato, mentre alla fine è riuscito a vincere l'event #6. L'australiano si trovava con meno di un big blind con sette giocatori rimasti al $215r turbo, ma è riuscito incredibilmente a prendersi i $179.569 del primo premio. <\/p>

I brits<\/em> aggiungono un'altra vittoria al loro albo: \"Mossop7\" si è classificato primo all'event #5 ($320NL shootout), per $50.378, mentre domenica ha visto trionfare il belga \"LOL_U_91\" per l'event #1 ($215NL 6-max), premio $211.000, e il russo \"K_0_S_T_Y_A\", primo sui 10.000 giocatori iscritti all'event #3 ($215 NL), premio $288.660. <\/p>

Ieri il Day 1a ha inaugurato il WPT Parigi, con ben 140 iscritti con buy-in di €7.500. <\/p>

Al momento, il chip leader è Mikko Sundell con 203.800 chips. 70 giocatori sono sopravvisuti a una giornata così intensa da essere stata chiusa in anticipo per evitare una decimazione inusitata. Addio a Thy Doan
<\/span><\/strong>
Ci troviamo purtroppo a dover annunciare la scomparsa di Thuy Doan, una famosa pro vietnamita.<\/p>

Apprezzata sia ai tavoli sia come persona, Thuy era malata di cancro ed è scomparsa il 4 settembre scorso, a 25 anni. <\/p>

Sono molti i pro che hanno voluto ricordare Thuy, tra i quali Barry Greestein, che su Twitter ha fatto notare come la giovane ragazza fosse apprezzata da tutti: \"non ho mai incontrato qualcuno a cui Thuy Doan non stesse simpatica\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olimpiadi a Las Vegas?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Torniamo alle news.<\/p>

Las Vegas non è seconda a nessuno quando si parla di intrattenimento: è anzi la Mecca del gambling, delle feste e di qualsiasi altra attività per adulti.  <\/p>

Tuttavia, non è facile sperare che vinca mai un premio culturale o che diventi un centro di vacanza per famiglie. Per questo, molti sono rimasti perplessi quando, la scorsa settimana, si è venuto a sapere che Las Vegas si era candidata come prossima sede per le Olimpiadi 2012. <\/p>

Purtroppo per il Nevada, secondo Forbes<\/a>, \"qualsiasi proposta per le Olimpiadi deve prima essere varata dal Comitato Olimpico Nazionale\"; proprio la settimana prima, proprio il Comitato degli Stati Uniti aveva annunciato di non avere città candidate per i prossimi Giochi.<\/p>

Quindi, sembra proprio che Vegas dovrà aspettare ancora prima di poter vedere la fiaccola splendere dalle finestre del Bellagio...<\/p>
