Dempsey brilla al WPT Five Diamond<\/h2>

La scorsa notte è stato incoronato l'ultimo campione del WPT: James \"The Doctor\" Dempsey che ha sconfitto Soi Nguyen in heads-up e si è aggiudicato il titolo del WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Classic con i $821.612 in palio per il primo posto. <\/p>

Una settimana da incorniciare per uno che all'inizio non aveva neanche intenzione di giocare l'evento! Dempsey ha aggiunto il suo titolo WPT al braccialetto WSOP.<\/p>

Oh mercy, mercy me<\/h2>

A soli 25 anni Jason Mercier ha un curriculum da far invidia al 99.9% dei pro. L'ascesa di Mercier nel mondo dei tornei di poker ha lasciato tutti senza parole e la sua superiorità tecnica è incontrastata. <\/p>

Oggi riportiamo un'altra vittoria di Mercier, questa volta al super high roller al Bellagio di Las Vegas. Solo $100.000 di buy-in per 23 players iscritti con un primo premio di $683.767, più un posto al $25.500 WPT Championship. <\/p>

Erano presenti molti nomi noti come Daniel Negreanu, Ben Lamb e Erik Seidel ma, a giochi fatti, Mercier era il nome che brillava sul trofeo. Mercier va ad aggiungere alle vincite nei tornei in carriera un altra bella botta, arrivando a oltre $7.3 milioni di guadagni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

L'angolo high stakes<\/h2>

Poco più di due anni fa un giovane svedese di nome Viktor \"Isildur1\" Blom è esploso nel mondo dell'online ed è stato il fulcro di uno dei periodi più importanti della storia del poker.<\/p>

Sappiamo tutti che ultimamente Brian Hastings ha oscurato Blom ma dopo un weekend memorabile e circa $1.5 milioni di vincite, è giusto dire che Blom è tornato e fa sul serio.<\/p>

Secondo HSDB<\/a>, nelle ultime 48 ore il coraggioso svedese ha distrutto Phil \"MrSweets28\" Galfond per quasi $500.000, devastato il misterioso account di \"VietRussian\"per $479.339 e infine Brian \"aba20\" Townsend e \"Fake Love888\" (si dice che sia Patrik Antonius) hanno perso intorno ai $400.000. <\/p>

Il principale responsabile di questo annientamento è ovviamente Viktor Blom. Ultimamente è entrato in azione un nuovo account cinese: \"long90110\" che ha registrato ben $408.324 di vincite ai tavoli. <\/p>

La carneficina non si ferma qui, mentre scriviamo questo articolo \"Isildur1\" e \"long90110\" si stanno scontrando in heads-up su tavoli PLO da $200\/$400 su PokerStars.
