Forse si sentivano poco considerati, forse avevano solo voglia di riprovare certe sensazioni, fatto sta che gli October Nine del 2012 si son svegliati di colpo al WPT Poker Classic<\/strong> di Los Angeles.<\/p>

E se Jesse Sylvia è un po' sceso in graduatoria, il quinto classificato delle WSOP 2012 Jeremy Ausmus<\/strong> è in alto in un chipcount che vanta nomi a dir poco prestigiosi: Jennifer Harman, Scott Seiver, Carlos Mortensen, Joe Hachem, Phil Laak, Noah Schwartz<\/strong>, tanto per fare qualche nome tra i 63 andati a premi.<\/p>

Insomma, per quanto il Day 3 abbia portato via gente come Shannon Shorr<\/strong>, Dan O'Brien, Eli Elezra<\/strong> e Brandon Cantu<\/strong>, nel complesso si può tranquillamente dire che i big abbiano retto bene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Suona banale, vero? Allora proviamo così: nel poker c'è chi vince e perde allo stesso tempo. Se la cosa vi sembra assurda, pensate a Rob \"Vaga_Lion\" Akery<\/strong>, che giocando su due room diverse è entrato sia tra i Top Winners che tra i Top Losers del giorno. Alla fine, per lui, comunque più di $50.000 di attivo.<\/p>

Nulla, rispetto al boom di Alexander \"PostflopAction\" Kostritsyn<\/strong>, che ha disossato patpatpanda<\/strong> portando a casa $766.468 e balzando dal quinto al primo posto nella classifica dei vincitori. Una classifica da cui si allontana ulteriormente Viktor \"Isildur1\" Blom<\/strong> che perde $326.090.<\/p>

Anche tra i Top Losers c'è una novità: ancora una volta ritorna in classifica Phil Ivey<\/strong>, che proprio non riesce a scendere dall'altalena in questo 2013.<\/p>

D'altronde, con 19 milioni già vinti, può permettersi di dondolare... <\/p>

È tutta una questione di SB e per una volta, anche se parliamo di poker, quelle lettere non significano Small Blind.<\/p>\n

La California ci riprova con il poker online e, a questo punto, è necessario un riassunto. La prima proposta per la liberalizzazione era stata la SB1463 del senatore Roderick Wright<\/strong>, che incontrò una fortissima opposizione della comunità indiana nello stato californiano.<\/p>\n

Poi, nel dicembre scorso<\/a>, Wright ci aveva riprovato con la SB51, ancora attiva, diversa nel numero ma sostanzialmente identica nei contenuti. La notizia è che, finalmente, il fronte solitario di Wright si è allargato ed a presentare la SB678, ennesimo tentativo a favore dell'online, è stato il senatore democratico Lou Correa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Una proposta sulla quale è bene non farsi illusioni, viste le tante difficoltà sul percorso, ma che ha il pregio di avere un approccio pragmatico, incentrando il discorso sugli introiti (1.400 milioni di dollari stimati) e sui 1.300 nuovi posti di lavoro che la liberalizzazione creerebbe.<\/p>\n

Basterà questo a convincere l'assemblea e a consentire alla California Gambling Control Commission di rilasciare le prime licenze?<\/p>\n<\/div>
