Ben 423 i partecipanti al day 1b di Montecarlo, e si tratta perlopiù di professionisti di spessore, tanto che durante questa tornata si sono andati formando i classici tavoli di ferro<\/strong>, come quello che a un certo punto ha visto scontrarsi Russell Carson<\/strong>, Calvin Anderson<\/strong>, Vanessa Selbst<\/strong> e Sam Trickett<\/strong> nella stessa durissima decina.<\/p>

Subito eliminazioni importanti, con Mizrachi <\/strong>e Veldhuis <\/strong>sotto gli scudi e il classico andirivieni di ritardatari, fra cui annoveriamo Viktor Blom<\/strong>, Phil Ivey<\/strong> e Gus Hansen<\/strong>. Tattica che fondamentalmente non ha sortito effetti interessanti, dato che tutti e tre sono stati eliminati senza lasciare praticamente traccia del proprio passaggio in suolo monegasco. Allo stesso modo non ricorderanno a lungo questo EPT i fenomeni Grospellier <\/strong>e Moneymaker<\/strong>, sbattuti out entrambi senza colpo ferire.<\/p>

Fuori anche il finlandese Patrik Antonius<\/strong>, anche se qui la malasorte ci ha messo molto più che uno zampino. Il bell'Antonius, infatti, va allo showdown dopo una mano condotta con la solita maestria e può mostrare \"\"\"\", contro \"\"\"\" e un board nettamente a suo favore: \"\"\"\"\"\"\"\". Il finnico ha oltre il 95% di chance per il double-up, quando il bloody river è un clamoroso \"\" che lo busta dal torneo in modo agghiacciante.<\/p>

Capitolo italiani: niente da fare per Dario Minieri<\/strong>, né per un Rocco Palumbo<\/strong> che non ha visto grandi mani e ha salutato senza lasciare traccia del proprio numero di scarpa. Approdano invece al next level Filippo Candio<\/strong>, Salvatore Bonavena<\/strong> e il sempre ostico Luca Pagano<\/strong>. Oltre a Danilo Donnini<\/strong>, che con uno stack di 230 BB è nettamente il miglior azzurro in gara (nonché 6° nel chipcount).<\/p>

Restano comunque on molti grandi giocatori. Attendendo notizie vagamente più precise di quelle (temibilissime) unofficial da folta mandria, vi possiamo già dire che ha ottenuto un buon piazzamento la feroce Anette Obrestad<\/strong> (che ha saputo pazientemente attendere le mani buone, ovvero un AA contro KK e un clamoroso poker di ganci sbattuto in faccia al povero Scott Seiver<\/strong>, il quale ha dovuto salutare cocuzze e cocuzzari).<\/p>

Bene anche Benny Spindler<\/strong>, Chad Brown<\/strong>, Toni Judet<\/strong>, Jason Mercier<\/strong>, Marcel Luske<\/strong> ma soprattutto la superstar Daniel Negreanu<\/strong>, che in questo momento sembra davvero aver recuperato lo smalto di un tempo. Fresco vincitore delle WSOP-APAC, il canadese si è mantenuto nelle primissime posizioni di questo EPT fin dalle mani iniziali, salvo poi avere un po' di sfortuna nella fase finale. Ma in ogni caso chiude di gran lunga sopra average.<\/p>

Alla fine a guidare il gruppo è Victor Sbrissa<\/strong>, che ha sfruttato molte buone mani, ma soprattutto un bel flip 88 contro AQ che gli ha dato il set al flop, permettendogli inoltre di eliminare John O'Shea<\/strong> nella parte dell'oppo. Lo potete vedere in cima al chipcount provvisorio e, come sempre accade nei day 1, assolutamente non ufficiale<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
