Ieri ci chiedevamo chi l'avrebbe fermato, oggi abbiamo la risposta. A stoppare Jason Mercier<\/strong> ad un passo dalla conquista del Super High Roller di Monte Carlo è stato il tedesco Max Altergott<\/strong>.<\/p>

Il nome suonerà nuovo agli appassionati del poker live, perché effettivamente è la sua prima vincita in carriera dal vivo. La musica cambia, però, se si parla di online, visto che Altergott è un regular degli highstakes col nick \"AltiFC\" e gioca ai limiti massimi dal 2010.<\/p>

Il tavolo finale è stato molto combattuto, con Mercier che ha più volte perso e riconquistato la chipleading fino ad arrivare all'HU finale in una sostanziale situazione di parità col tedesco.<\/p>

Il player americano, che stava spingendo molto, ha pagato il conto in una mano finale molto particolare: Mercier chiama fuori posizione una 4-bet preflop e al flop scendono \"\"\"\"\"\". Altergott punta, Mercier chiama. Turn \"\": Mercier parte in checkraise pushando tutto il suo stack, il tedesco chiama senza battere ciglio.<\/p>

Una volta tanto a spaccare il mercato non è Viktor Blom<\/strong>, che pure nell'ultima sessione ha perso $627.533. Considerando che Kostritsyn ha perso $578.778 e che i due stavano seduti allo stesso tavolo, indovinare chi glieli ha presi.<\/p>

La risposta non è facile. anzi, è imprevedibile visto che il player in questione attraversa una crisi nera e prolungatissima da tempo immemore. Esatto, parliamo di lui, di Gus Hansen<\/strong>, che ha letteralmente macellato i tavoli di FLO8 recuperando in una sera il passivo di quattro mesi e mezzo di gioco. Ovvio che a livello di classifica cambi tanto: \"The Great Dane\" è ora il più vincente del mese di maggio e la palma di peggiore del 2013 passa a, udite udite, Phil Ivey<\/strong>.<\/p>

Non molti, invece, i danni per Isildur1, che resta in testa ai vincenti dell'anno anche se ora non ha più come inseguitore Kostritsyn ma il canadese Kyle \"cottonseed1\" Hendon<\/strong>. <\/p>

Già, perché Doyle Brunson<\/strong> era stato chiaro e già nel 2012 aveva ridotto drasticamente il numero di eventi giocati alle World Series of Poker: tuttavia, a sorpresa, si era presentato al Main Event.<\/p>\n

Quest'anno invece Texas Dolly, 80 anni ad agosto, ai tavoli delle WSOP non ci sarà<\/strong>. Il leggendario pro americano ha annunciato la sua decisione tramite Twitter con poche parole e un hashtag, #toomanyhours<\/strong>, a significare che per giocare i lunghissimi tornei delle WSOP perdeva troppo tempo. E il tempo, si sa, è prezioso.<\/p>\n

Così, per la terza volta dal 1976, il Main delle World Series non vedrà ai tavoli questo eterno ragazzone che, per inciso, non ha certo abbandonato il poker. I tavoli della Bobby's Room hanno ancora tanto da raccontare... <\/p><\/div>
