Chi grinda MTT lo sa bene: nelle fasi avanzate di un torneo è fondamentale vincere i coin flip<\/strong>. Anzi, è più corretto dire che, arrivati a un certo punto, non se ne può proprio fare a meno se si vogliono avere ambizioni di vertice<\/strong> e approdare al final table con uno stack dignitoso<\/strong>. <\/p>

È soprattutto in colpi come questi che si capisce perfettamente se la giornata è quella \"giusta<\/strong>\" oppure se la propria run è in flessione<\/strong>. I coin flip possono essere un utile strumento per \"tastare il polso<\/strong>\" alla dea bendata: spesso dal loro esito dipende il cammino <\/strong>di un player in un determinato evento e molte volte ci si affida a loro per sopravvivere <\/strong>quando si ha uno stack molto short. <\/p>

Il baratro in 2 mani<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

La serata di ieri resterà per molto tempo nella memoria di Dario Sammartino<\/strong>. Arrivato ITM nell'evento #32<\/strong> WSOP, il $5.000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-max, \"MadGenius87<\/strong>\" è ben messo nel chip count, con circa 80 bui<\/strong> davanti. A 2 ore dalla fine delle ostilità, poco prima dell'ultima pausa, Dario si schianta frontalmente contro la sfortuna<\/strong>. <\/p>

Il \"colpevole\" è Kyle White<\/strong>, che dopo l'apertura dall'hijack di Lee Markholt<\/strong> e il successivo flat <\/strong>di Sammartino dal cut-off, squeeza i suoi 14 bui<\/strong> con \"\"\"\", trovando il fold di Markholt e il call<\/strong> di Dario, che dopo aver chiesto il count mette in mezzo le sue chips con \"\"\"\". Il flop \"\"\"\"\"\" accende le speranze di \"MadGenius87\", ma il turn \"\" e il river \"\" sono da incubo <\/strong>e fanno chiudere a White un'inaspettata scala runner runner <\/strong>che gli consente il double up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Azzoppato <\/strong>ma ancora in piena corsa <\/strong>per il tavolo finale, Dario si risiede per il penultimo livello di giornata con in testa il desiderio di riprendersi dalla caduta<\/strong> di poco prima. La fortuna, però, gli gira le spalle un'altra volta. <\/p>

Sammartino apre \"\"\"\" da early position, viene 3-bettato da Harry Bienenfeld<\/strong> sui blinds, e con un attimo di esitazione annuncia il push<\/strong>. Istantaneo il call dell'avversario che si presenta allo show down con \"\"\"\". Anche in questo caso il flop \"\"\"\"\"\" è amico di \"MadGenius87\", idem il turn \"\". Tuttavia, quasi come se fosse una beffa della sorte, il river si rivela un'autentica mannaia<\/strong> per il nostro portacolori, condannato da un \"\". <\/p>

Dario precipita a 20 bui<\/strong> ma non demorde e da lì fino alla fine riesce a preservare il suo stack, aggredendo <\/strong>in push nei momenti giusti. Risultato? Sammartino è l'unico italiano<\/strong> sopravvissuto al Day 2 e stasera cercherà di prendersi la sua vendetta<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lo \"squalo\" non morde più<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Non ce l'ha fatta, invece, l'altro player nostrano impegnato nel medesimo torneo. Massimo Mosele<\/strong> ha dovuto interrompere la sua avventura durante l'ultimo livello di giornata. Gli è stata fatale una blind war<\/strong> con Ryan D'Angelo<\/strong>, che con una mano orripilante<\/strong> (\"\"\"\"), ha chiuso doppia coppia al river, mentre \"Maxshark\" è stato costretto a muckare e ha showato un \"\". <\/p>

Il giustiziere ufficiale di Mosele, però, si è rivelato Andrew Robl<\/strong>, che ha pushato \"\"\"\" da utg, callato anche da Benjamin Reinhart <\/strong>con \"\"\"\". \"Maxshark\", appena arrivato al tavolo, è andato all-in al buio da SB con un solo ante, girando \"\"\"\". Il board, però, non gli è stato d'aiuto e lo ha bustato in 18°<\/strong> posizione per un assegno di $23.791<\/strong>.<\/p>
