Si chiude in maniera imprevista l'EPT di Londra<\/strong>, che sembrava ormai essere un affare per Jeff Rossiter<\/strong>, superbo durante il day 5. Invece il giovane australiano non brilla nel tavolo finale e lascia campo a Robin Ylitalo<\/strong>, uno dei tanti esponenti della formidabile scuola svedese.<\/p>

Per la verità Ylitalo non interpreta questo tavolo finale con la famigerata aggressività scandinava<\/strong> che ha reso celebre tanti suoi conterranei, da Antonius <\/strong>a Blom<\/strong>. Utilizza anzi una tattica opposta<\/strong>, che però risulterà invincibile: Ylitalo infatti attende che gli avversari si suicidino contro il suo stack<\/strong>. E funziona. Perbacco se funziona!<\/p>

Il primo a farlo è lo slovacco Stefan Vagner<\/strong>. Siamo al livello 29 e già abbiamo assistito alle eliminazioni di Sidhu <\/strong>(sfortunato il suo \"\"\"\" contro il \"\"\"\" di Karakousis<\/strong>) e di Sjavik <\/strong>(\"\"\"\" contro \"\"\"\" di Geilich<\/strong>), quando Vagner pensa bene di 4bettare in all-in lo squeeze di Ylitalo sulla tribet di Geilich, che poi folda. Lo svedese calla e ringrazia, quando lo showdown lo porta intorno al 65%: \"\"\"\" contro \"\"\"\".<\/p>

Fuori il favorito<\/h2>

È il momento dell'eliminazione di Jeff Rossiter<\/strong>, che non ha visto molte carte e non ha trovato le sensazioni positive del day 5, in cui sembrava inarrestabile. Ormai ai resti con una pocket di 4, viene scoppiato dal 63enne greco Karakousis<\/strong>, che balza in testa al chipcount. Ma ecco un altro suicidio in diretta: è quello di Ludovic Geilich<\/strong>, che ingaggia un duello a colpi di raise con lo svedese e alla fine si fa trascinare all-in con \"\"\"\". A Ylitalo <\/strong>non pare vero di voltare \"\"\"\" e di balzare chipleader eliminando il tedesco in 4a posizione.<\/p>

Restano in tre: il greco, lo svedese e un giovane inglese di nome Leo McClean<\/strong>, che ha interpretato il tavolo finale in maniera molto chiusa, pensando giustamente anche al payout <\/strong>(s'è qualificato con un satellite da meno di £100). Ormai molto short e sicuramente soddisfatto delle £250.000 destinate al terzo classificato, Leo prova il tutto per tutto con \"\"\"\" che però non scoppiano la pocket di 3 in mano a Karakousis.<\/p>

L'heads-up<\/strong> dura poco più di venti minuti. La freschezza del giovane Ylitalo ha la meglio su uno stanco Karakousis, che accetta di buttare tutto dentro con \"\"\"\". Ancora una volta lo svedese non deve fare altro che aspettare seduto sulla riva del fiume<\/strong> il corpo del proprio avversario, e voltare un \"\"\"\" da £560.000.<\/p>

Molto divertente anche l'High Roller<\/strong>, con tanti buoni giocatori al tavolo finale e soprattutto una macchia azzurra<\/strong> molto gradita. Si tratta di Luca Pagano<\/strong>, il pro di PokerStars.it <\/strong>che molti di noi hanno apprezzato in veste di commentatore di Pokermania<\/strong>, su Italia 1: una delle prime trasmissioni sull'Hold'em mai uscite nel nostro paese.<\/p>

Luca ha giocato un bel torneo, finendo al FT e chiudendo infine al settimo posto. È poi stato tradito dal classico flop irrinunciabile<\/strong>, con un board \"\"\"\"\"\" che lega un progettone di bilatera reale con i suoi \"\"\"\", mentre il canadese Lavallée <\/strong>non può foldare con la doppia \"\"\"\". Purtroppo per il veneto, nessuno dei suoi 17 outs fa capolino su turn e river e la partita per lui è finita.<\/p>

Lavallée <\/strong>andrà poi a vincere la prima moneta di quasi £360.000, davanti a Simon Higgins<\/strong> e Sorel Mizzi<\/strong>, con Devilfish <\/em>Ulliott <\/strong>che fa un'altra ottima figura centrando il sesto posto davanti al pubblico di casa. È tornato un mito?<\/p>
