Lui è David Sklansky<\/strong>, matematico americano che ha sposato la causa del poker, tanto da dedicargli 13 libri <\/strong>didattici, fra cui \"Theory of poker<\/em>\", uno dei pilastri della letteratura di settore.<\/p>

L'altro è Cèpheus<\/strong>, il supercomputer creato dai ricercatori dell'Università dell'Alberta<\/strong>, in Canada<\/strong>. La mente sintetica applicata al poker che riesce a immaginare 24 triliardi di mani al secondo<\/strong>, imparando dai propri errori e proponendosi come \"imbattibile\", parola usata dai suoi stessi programmatori (potete giocare anche subito contro Cèpheus grazie al link della Newsbox<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>

Dopo aver contemplato tanti poker-robot <\/strong>fallire e finire nel dimenticatoio, Cèpheus sembra sulla strada giusta per rivoluzionare il rapporto tra il poker e l'intelligenza artificiale, cosa che porta a tutta una serie di considerazioni<\/strong>, alcune delle quali anche molto negative<\/strong>.<\/p>

A buttare acqua sul fuoco è proprio Sklansky, che inizia dando credito al supercomputer, ma poi lo mette in riga<\/strong> per bene: \"Se giocassimo contro, io e Cepheus, sul lungo periodo potrebbe vincere anche contro di me. E anche se incontra un cattivo giocatore vincerà, ma il punto è che non vincerà mai così in fretta come potrebbe farlo un umano<\/em>\".<\/p>

Secondo il matematico americano, infatti, i veri soldi <\/strong>- nel poker - si fanno soprattutto quando al tuo tavolo siede un giocatore palesemente inferiore <\/strong>rispetto a te, e a quel punto la bravura del pokerista sta nel massimizzare <\/strong>il profitto adattando la propria strategia al fish.<\/p>

Una mente artificiale, invece, punterebbe a giocare il poker migliore possibile<\/strong>, ma in questo modo limiterebbe le proprie vincite anziché maggiorarle, perché la bravura del campione è proprio quella di saper cogliere il modo più efficace per demolire l'avversario, anche se quest'ultimo sembra talvolta licenzioso<\/strong> didatticamente.<\/p>

Un punto di vista interessante, soprattutto perché proviene da uno dei più grandi teorici <\/strong>del poker in assoluto.
