Il PokerStars Championship<\/figcaption><\/figure>

Proprio in questo momento l'EPT di Praga sta offrendo ai propri spettatori lo spettacolo dell'ultimo Main Event dell'European Poker Tour, prima che questo venga rebrandizzato in PokerStars Championship.<\/a><\/p>

Ho già condiviso i miei pensieri su questa rinominazione<\/a>. Mi mancherà l'EPT, ma il cambiamento è necessario visto che gli eventi organizzati da PokerStars sono l'invidia del mondo intero, non solo in Europa. Non ho dubbi che il cambiamento sarà costante e il tour si rafforzerà.<\/p>

Ma in riconoscimento delle 13 stagioni di European Poker Tour ho voluto rendere omaggio a quello che reputo il torneo più duro e prestigioso del poker.<\/p>

Un tour live per giocatori online<\/h2>

Se le World Series Of Poker e il World Poker Tour hanno \"world\", cioè mondo, nel proprio brand e invece l'EPT può vantarsi di citare solo l'Europa, questo non significa che il suo valore sia minore. Per molti anni l'EPT è stato considerato il più duro e meglio organizzato, nonché con i premi più alti, al di fuori del Main Event WSOP.<\/p>

Ci sono molte ragioni per questo, la più importante delle quali è il fatto che l'EPT ha le spalle coperte da PokerStars.<\/strong> PokerStars gestisce la stragrande maggioranza del mercato pokeristico quindi ha addosso gli occhi dei giocatori, finanze apparentemente illimitate e alcuni dei migliori addetti dell'industria attuale.<\/p>

L'aspetto europeo del tour è stato perfino un vantaggio dopo il Black Friday.<\/strong> Con gli Stati Uniti a tutti gli effetti estromessi dal poker online, per molti anni l'industria si è focalizzata sul mercato europeo. I giocatori dell'Europa potevano ancora giocare online, il che ha prodotto uno sviluppo del poker prettamente europeo, lasciando invece quello a stelle e strisce in una sorta di limbo. Gli Stati Uniti, infine, sono riusciti per loro fortuna a rimettersi in piedi quindi questo rebranding a PokerStars Championship arriva in un buon momento.<\/p>

Quindi, con un sito online fiorente e una scena europea altrettanto fiorente, non è stato difficile attirare un sacco di giocatori agli eventi EPT. Che si trattasse di satelliti, buy-in diretti, acquisti in FPP e compagnia bella. Al confronto, invece, qualificarsi online è stato quasi impossibile negli eventi USA per lungo tempo (anche in parte perché a causa delle leggi separate dei vari stati americani è stato più difficile organizzarsi), quindi lì si è dovuto contare molto di più sui giocatori locali e i buy-in diretti.<\/p>

La presenza di qualificati online ha reso l'EPT più difficile rispetto al precedente stereotipo dell'industria di settore che proponeva questi eventi come più facili da battere<\/strong>, perché i giocatori online hanno nettamente superato le loro controparti live (anche se la recente tendenza, con i satelliti Spin & Go, potrebbe cambiare un po' questo equilibrio).<\/p>

Così, mentre questo ha reso i tornei più interessanti, ha reso il titolo EPT il più ambito e secondo me il più duro del pianeta. Più del WSOP Main Event, che attira sempre gli appassionati \"del momento\". Basta guardare a quanto è stato ambito il primo titolo di due volte campione EPT,<\/a> per comprendere quanto sia prestigioso questo tour.<\/p>

Le World Series saranno sempre il più grande evento dell'anno. A questo torneo è legato un momento di festa paragonabile a quello dei Mondiali di calcio. Ma la vera Champions League del poker è l'European Poker Tour,<\/strong> uno dei più grandi eventi dell'anno e sempre il più agognato da tutti i fan irriducibili. Non ho dubbi che penseremo la stessa cosa anche del PokerStars Championship.<\/p>
