\nIvey sembra essere una forza della natura in ogni partita di poker, una supposizione che conferma di nuovo portandosi a casa il secondo braccialetto nell'evento $2.500 Mixed Omaha-8\/Stud-8. Con questo nuovo successo, porta il suo record personale a un totale di sette braccialetti. È anche la seconda volta che riesce a vincere più di un braccialetto in un solo anno.\n

Quando i 14 giocatori rimasti in gara inaugurano la giornata finale del torneo, lo shortstack Chad Brown è il primo ad essere eliminato. In un piatto 3-way, Ming Lee lo batte con una straight 8-high e un six-low. Mark
\nScott viene poi eliminato in 13ma posizione mentre Dutch Boyd rimane in sit-out  per un'orbita come penalità per aver fatto solo call con le nut.<\/p>\n

All'inizio non sembra che Phil Ivey avrebbe fatto molta strada dopo essere sceso a meno di 70.000. Mentre altri giocatori vengono eliminati, lui continua a lottare riuscendo a qualificarsi per il tavolo finale come secondo ma come ultimo per numero di chip con appena 145.000.\n<\/p><\/div>

Al tavolo finale, però, Phil Ivey (foto a destra) continua a riscuotere successo portandosi a casa un piatto dopo l'altro contro degli avversari aggressivi. Sembra fare tutte le mosse giuste al momento giusto dato che nessun pericolo di eliminazione sembra minacciarlo.<\/p>\n

In una mano degna di nota contro Jon Turner, ottiene finalmente la chiplead mentre la partita si è già ristretta a cinque giocatori.<\/p>\n

Quando sul board scendono \"Kh\"\"Ts\"\"3s\"\"As\"\"2c\" in una mano di Omaha-8, le sue \"Ah\"\"4h\"\"3c\"\"6s\"
\nper la doppia coppia e il nut low portano via una buona parte di chip dallo stack del precedente chip leader Jon Turner. Alcuni minuti dopo, Ivey è il primo a tagliare il traguardo di un milione costringendo al fold Carlos Mortensen senza mai scendere al di sotto di esso da questo momento in poi.<\/p>\n

Nella mano decisiva dello Stud-8, il suo avversario di heads-up Ming Lee va all-in sulla terza street con  \"Jh\"\"6c\"\"7s\"\"Qh\"\"Js\" contro \"Qd\"\"Qs\"\"3c\"\"5c\"\"8s\" di Phil Ivey. Le ultime due carte portano a Lee \"5s\"\"Kd\", mentre Ivey dovrebbe avere persino un trip con \"7c\"\"Qc\".<\/p>\n

Phil Ivey si porta a casa un altro braccialetto lasciando tutti a bocca aperta e così si aggiungono sempre più indizi per rispondere alla domanda se sia veramente il migliore pokerista al mondo.<\/p>\n
