\"WPTIl World Poker Tour (WPT) Legends of Poker é iniziato questo sabato con un totale di 279 giocatori che hanno pagato il buy-in di 10.000$ per partecipare al Campionato di NL Hold'em del WPT. Nonostante abbia contato sulla presenza di 100 giocatori in meno rispetto allo scorso anno, il montepremi dell'evento é stato comunque sostanzioso, raggiungendo la bella cifra di 2.625.500$ con 1 milione in premio per il primo classificato.<\/p>

All'evento non si é visto nessun ex vincitore, visto che erano assenti Doyle Brunson, Dan Harrington, Chris Karagulleyan, Mel Judah, Joe Pelton, Alex Kahaner e John Phan.<\/p>

Jonathan Little quasi in testa<\/h2>

\"JonathanVisto il field ridotto, lo staff del torneo ha deciso di giocare il primo giorno solo cinque livelli invece dei sei previsti. Verso la fine del primo livello di gioco, restavano in gara per il Day 2 solo 180 giocatori. Carlos Mortensen, Shannon Shorr, Tom Schneider, Joe Sebok, Nenad Medic, Jimmy Fricke e Barry Greenstein sono solo alcuni dei grandi nomi eliminati prima della fine del Day 1.<\/p>

Nel frattempo, un November Nine, Steven Begleiter, ha accumulato 235.000 chips, diventando il chipleader della serata. Il suo avversario piú prossimo, Toto Leonidas, lo segue a lunga distanza con 93.000 chips, mentre Bryan Devonshire con 87.000 é al terzo posto. Alcuni altri grandi nomi come jonathanlittle (foto a destra) hanno concluso la prima giornata di gioco a quota 81.000 chips.<\/p>
